I was hoping for a Friday night game.
I have a wedding to attend at 5pm on Sat.
Hope the venue has a TV on somewhere.

Boooo, there should be a legislation against Friday and Saturday weddings in September.
I remember, vaguely, that happened to me in 2005. Thankfully it was the qualifying final against the Weagles, so I didn't miss too much.

Try not to listen to game on headphones. Instead of "I do", the guests might be shocked by a loud cry of "ball!"

Are you allowed to miss your own wedding because of an important final? Maybe attend by Zoom from the ground or something
            like that....

My anniversary is tomorrow, but when we got married finals was a pipe dream.

              Too funny dejavoodoo.
Is there anyone here has any reason why these two should not be married?
              Could be bad timing!!

The few people I know who are going are swans fans including the bride and groom

Absolutely. I've felt like one of the players this last week with the number of people hitting me up for tix - as it is, I might struggle to get one for myself!

OMG, the airlines are ramping up the price of Melb-Syd return flights this weekend. Who would have thought? And Collingwood fans are
complaining. Just a total outrage the Prelim isn't being played at the MCG. Poor things.

Is this the right thread for info/experiences getting prelim tickets? It's just I can only see 2 posts from today, neither of which is reflecting the Ticketek nightmare. I want to reassure my brother that he was not alone, and getting Category 4 is ok.

It’s a sellout, so tell your brother any ticket is a good ticket! And yes, Ticketek was its usual nightmare ...

Everyone very quiet on the ticket front. Assume no one missed out?
