Prelim Final: Swans vs Collingwood 4.45pm Sat 17 September SCG
I'm glad we have Stevic. According to Luke Darcy he is 'the best in the business'.
Luke Darcy still has fond memories from Stevic's performance in 2016. With Stevic and Meredith working both ends, this will save Stevic a lot off running up and down both ends giving Collingwood free kicks.
I can imagine the free kick count to be 20-10 and once the game is safely in Collingwood's keeping they will give the Swans a few late free kicks to make it look good.
Not sure if everyone heard Peter Daicos's comment " Collingwood will win, take that to the bank". Then hearing we have Meridith and Stevic as umpires, maybe he knows something? I am starting to get this bad feeling that the best side will not win tomorrow
Looking forward to watching them all cry when we get the job done tomorrow. There is only one word we as fans need to worry about - belief. Believe the boys can do it and help will them home.
And yes it isn't so relevant - but a look back on 2012 is interesting too, more than a few common themes in the analysis around that game to what we've heard this week. Although no talk about how small Accor's playing surface is....
Good preview from the team at Mongrel Punt as well - I do like their non-partisan, straight down the line previews. Reflects a team that can be fans of good footy first, and leave their individual favourites at the door.
Off subject but interesting. I was watching the Rugby test last night and in the middle of a huge crowd of AllBlack supporters , all dressed in the black of course, the camera panned on a lovely Maori lady proudly wearing a Swans Beanie. Stood out like swans testicles on a magpie.
Just gorgeous and thank you to that very discriminating Kiwi supporter. I am sure that lady was happy with her victory but will similarly love our/her Swans winning a much more exciting game tomorrow.
Hopefully the crowd can rise above booing Ginnivan tonight.
Where is he playing tonight? Is he doing a gig or something? Top 10 Free Kick Staging Reenactments with maybe a
Spoken Word thing where he gives hair tips and the like. I could see that filling the Hordern with all the Magpies fans
in town all at a bit of a loose end tonight....
