    2023 Preseason

    Andrew Wu injury report:

    Sydney
The Swans’ big-man stocks have taken a bit of a hit. Hayden McLean will miss three weeks with a quadriceps strain, and Joel Amartey is out for another four with his hamstring. Lance Franklin and Sam Reid will join in full training in the next fortnight after calf tightness before Christmas. Forward Ryan Clarke is nursing a hamstring strain that will sideline him for four weeks.

I wondering if there are anyone who can throw light on the current training regime.

I have been attending Wednesdays and Fridays down at Tramway but since last Friday they do not seem to be there.

I'm guessing there must be some sort of regional retreat but have not seen any postings.

                  Please advise.

They have switched to a H&A season format of training on Tramway Tuesday and Thursday as of this week. I was caught out when I went on Monday and they only had a short session. When I asked why, that's what they said.

Incidentally, please could chat about details of getting to our R1 match go into the thread for that match. Since it hasn't already been started, you may need to start the thread.

Maybe he has been abducted by The Bloods.

I went to training. It was a light session again.

                          Some assorted observations:

                          * Gulden, Campbell, Sheldrick, Mitchell and Corey all training with the mids; HHK training with the forwards.

                          * Edwards is mostly focused on playing back although is possible he'll be sent forward in the VFL

                          * Clarke is rehabbing an injury - so I think his position for Round 1 is in doubt, especially given the rave reviews we keep hearing about Konstanty.

He was there on Thursday. Seemed to be fully involved.

Injury Update: Blakey sidelined with illness, Clarke and Amartey latest

Lance Franklin. Sam Reid and Tom Hickey continue to work through their individual pre-season training programs. They won’t be involved in match play this weekend, but are expected to feature in the upcoming pre-season practice match series against Brisbane and Carlton respectively.
I might walk past Moore Park on Saturday morning to see if anything is going on.
