'Two bob's worth' can't be excluded from this debate; a bob being ten cents and correct me if I'm wrong but also a shilling?
I recall some cub scout controversy from years back surrounding the inflationary trajectory of a 'bob.' Bob-a-Job was I believe some form of boy scout fundraising venture where the scouts would go neighbourhood door-knocking in pursuit of menial tasks for which the householder would generously donate ten cents. The concept became Cents for Service after a number of literal Dickensian landlord types got wind of this initiative and thought it would a bit of a lark to pay 7 year olds 10 cents to wash their cars. (An anecdote which adds nothing to the premise of the thread).

I saw the first half live then returned to work. The two teams seemed evenly matched up until half time. The core of our midfield is impressive. Parker, Mills, Rowbottom and Warner, with cameos from Papley, Heeney and Gulden looks ok to me. Warner's disposal on the day was uncharacteristically sloppy. Roberts and Sheldrick have a way to go before reaching this level.
McAndrew, big tick. I'd like to see more of Edwards. He looks very promising. Can anyone explain why Gould didn't get a run? Hopefully just a niggle, though I think he had a run in the twos. If fit, what on earth is going on here. He has to figure in a succession plan, surely.

There's nothing worse than poor grammar. Nothing. I made a list of all the worst things, and that was a clear number one.

          Surely two cents!

Oh, I see MarkW has already addressed this.

Seems like Campbell will be persisted being played in defence.Hoping he gets transitioned into the midfield this year as I can see him being damaging with his penetrating kicks. Is his tank still the issue as some were hinting last season?
Yes, if Logan doesn't become influential this season, I for one will be losing patience.

How long did Mills 'languish' in defence before he was unleashed in the middle? I think Campbell may just have to be a little patient.

I'm with you about literally. The word is now literally used to mean the opposite of what it is meant to mean!

Absolutely - you beat me to it and said it better! I thought it was two bobs' worth too. 2c worth was a substitute after we went metric.

Have you moved to John O'Groats?? Sounds nearly as bad as Tassie.

So Logan, the apprentice key forward, is on his last stevoswan chance; and Campbell, who is actually older than Logan, needs to be patient - methinks there's a little favouritism at play here?

His performance seemed to be affected last year when he cut his hair, (plus there was something called COVID). Good to see his hair has grown back.

He was telling supporters at the game that he has a sore back.

Rowbottom's performance also impressed me as he looked hungry with increased confidence.

Good post, in particular the pickup on McInerney, who I agree looked good. That contested mark in the forward 50 stood out.

Re Logan - I liked the look of that set shot.

                            My two cents - Wikipedia

As it was an old 2d then I should have said here’s my £0.00833 which works out as 2c Australian (with a fair bit of rounding up).

                            I’m in London btw

I really meant he just has to show substantial 'improvement'.....maybe not be a world beater. Can you honestly say Logan had a better year last year than 2021? His first three games ever were pretty much better than anything he's produced since. I understand tall forwards 'take a while to mature' etc etc but I reckon it's time to deliver on all that promise of being "one of the most exciting prospects to come along in awhile" and "Buddy's heir apparent" as he was being touted when we drafted him.

As for Campbell, he seems to be being groomed in the same way as Mills.....so yes, he (and Swans fans) may have to be patient.

                              Fair enough?

Did Mills spend much time in the 2's to begin with, Campell has though hasn't he? So maybe its a different grooming procedure?
