Nice to totally put the game away early in the quarter, but possibly slackened off later. Hope we go on with it in the last.Comment

I think we should re-sign Gould and Stephens. Gould has been really putting it together lately in the forward line and having an impact. Stephens seems to have gotten the nod as sub tonight and has been finding a heap of the pill.
Ladhams has just given away a 50 and has been reported for umpire abuse. Wow. What a clown!Comment

Best win for the year - as stated during the broadcast shame we won’t play finals, easily one of the form sides of the VFL
Roberts and Sheldrick will push hard for midfield time next year amd the 2 academy standouts Cleary and Kirk I think will both let crafted or rookiedComment

Excellent all round performance, with good players almost too numerous to name. Warner possibly our best, as he really cut them up in the second quarter, and even though he was a bit quieter for the rest of the match, GWS couldn't really lay a hand on him, with his pace away from congestion. Roberts, Bartholomaeus and Cleary were also effective in the midfield, while McAndrew went well in the ruck.
In defence, Arnold got in the way of plenty of GWS attacks and used the ball well. Rankin and Magor were also hitting targets, with Rankin doing some feisty defensive work and Magor looking increasingly confident.
In the forward line, Buller was a strong target with four goals, but for some reason didn't play most of the second half. Gould and Konstanty also kicked four each. The move forward is working well for Gould, but I suspect it'll be a toss up, if that's enough for a new contract. Konstanty is now showing why he was drafted. Very lively with the ball and his chase down pressure caused problems for their defenders. Hall-Kahan again demonstrated that he should be able to make the transition to AFL. He tends to put the ball through when he's kicking for goal and hits his team mates when he's not.
I also thought all the academy players did enough, to suggest that they can handle at least VFL level. So, pleasing performance all round.Comment

There was no obvious injury to Buller, so I wonder if one of the listed senior talls is out or subject to a late test.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

When the VFL team plays before the senior team they typically pull someone off at half or three quarter time to be emergency for the senior game. I doubt there’s a question mark over anyone named in the senior team. If so they’d have pulled Buller (or someone) earlier.Comment

Great to see our young talent such as Rankin and Maguire as well as newbee Kostanty show some of their talent. And looked like Arnold is getting better each week. My take from today's game is that Roberts is destined for the seniors as soon as his fitness is the standard we need. He has the skills and a great left foot.Comment
