Match Thread Rd 3 vs Melbourne Demons @ MCG, Sunday April 2 3:20PM - Match Thread

Melbourne v Sydney at the MCG, 3.20pm AEST
    NO LATE CHANGES

    SUBSTITUTES
    Melbourne: Jake Melksham
    Sydney: Matt Roberts

From my vantage on the couch, it looks like good conditions for footy. Match them in contested ball and I think we can get them again.

Our forward entries have to improve. We keep kicking straight to the Demons. And we have to watch Grundy.

We haven't been able to score so far with all our entries. We love to start slow against the Dees.

Can't be giving away goals like that. No excuse for mouthing off.

Why do we even bother going down to Melbourne? The umpires will favour the opposition every time....There was a blatant throw just before that 50 metre penalty.

Good news- the forward set up with Amartey as ruck for the centre bounce was much better

Are they suffering from Grand Final flashbacks now?

Melbourne just to classy at the moment, Sydney look at sea and probably suffering playing 2 weak opponents leading into this game

Maybe the Melbourne pressure is higher but we just look more nervous this week.

Swans cannot hit any targets to save themselves.

We are conceding too many uncontested marks and turning the ball over. We aren't working hard enough.

                      Another free for abuse ????.

Commentator said that dissent 50 was for "getting up in an aggressive manner". Now players have to worry about their body language?

Our forwards dont seem to be leading? Just kicking to contests where we are outnumbered. Melbourne have made the most of there chances and we have squandered ours. THey have had some soft umpiring too.

I don't think we're out of it yet. Just need to tweak our kicking into the forward line and hope our luck changes with umpiring and goal kicking
