I would say - and not just against us - that is one of the worst umpired games I have seen!

The umpiring was of its normal ridiculous self, but we have nobody but ourselves to blame. What precisely do we practice when it comes to kicking inside 50.
Does it go something like 'when you look up and there are 15 blokes all together, that is where you kick it to?' Our forward entries in general tonight were dreadful and cost us the game. If we are going to do anything this year, that nonsense has to stop and stop now."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I agree- just shocking umpiring- Port should have got that reviewed goal- throwing- just awful all round...Terrible night for us really....but yeah umpiring terrible for both sides...Comment

Finlayson says in post match interview that we'll 'be up there again this year' about us.....I'm not so sure. The doomsayers may be right....I don't think we are the team we were last season. Of course, some of the umpiring was deplorable in that last quarter but we look a shadow of the confident team we were last year.Comment

Well…that was totally @@@@. Those two umpiring decisions were atrocious, but after Blakey put us in front again we shouldn’t have lost it. Tough on Ollie, who otherwise played a great game.

While the injuries didn't help, our inability to kick to advantage into our 50, and inability to kick easy goals from players that are better than that (Parker, Heeney, Papley, Buddy) cost us what could of easily been a comfortable win against what I strongly suspect will be shown to be a bog average team.
We may not be anywhere near good enough this year, but losses like that can really, really haunt you come the end of the season."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Two consecutive momentum-shifting goals from terrible umpiring decisions in a couple of minutes in the last quarter proved to be the difference. Unlucky, considering we lost the 2 x McCartins.
Something has to be done about Buddy next week. We cannot persist with him in his current position. He's gotta move up the field or off all together. Sorry but he's been sub-standard.Comment

The worrying part is it hasn't been the last 2 or 3 minutes either. Last 15 minutes (of time - not game time) tonight we looked gassed - every 50/50 ball fell their way, and they had multiple players at the fall of the ball time and time and time again."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

we should have put em to bed before half time but we didnt, then the umpire, with so many made up bs calls, went to work and somehow pulls another free kick outta his arse game overComment
