Chad hasn’t been successfully tagged before tonight. He will work it out, but a bit like Gulden - who’s been bashed around tonight - the trick is to keep his work rate up. I don’t think Chad’s been that bad, but other sides will be watching closely. Whether they’ve got the Cats personnel is another thing.
Rowie, Campbell and a couple of others have kept their composure and effort up.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Yes. Not that the umpires are the cause of our predicament, but another goal in the last minute might’ve brought up some fur-balls.Comment

Great points.. The Cats have some really big and experienced players out there tonight- Cameron, Hawkins, Dangerfield, Rohan, etc It would be interesting to compare total number of games played between the teams...I suspect there would be a huge differential...Chad hasn’t been successfully tagged before tonight. Parker was better that quarter. Clarke tries hard but is not a quick decision maker with ball in hand.Rowbottom is putting together some decent games at the moment. I thought he played well last week and he always has a go....too much umpiring in this game...

Great experience for Warner to get pressured like he is...let's see what he learns from it...remember he's a really young playerComment

The main thing for us is to get out of this game and not to incur any new injuries. I'm glad to see our players have gone into self-preservation mode and looking to be around to fight another day when the odds might be more in our favour.
We should move Francis and Gould into defence and run and gun the rest of the match. Let's see how we go if we play on at every chance. Keep the ball low and limit the number of marking contests.Comment

I like the pressure that Clarke brings, and he isn't actually a bad small forward in terms of getting up the ground and leading. But he is so so slow to dispose of the ball - both in contested play, and after a mark. Just needs a hurry up to spot an option and hit the trigger."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

This. Those two back, Blakey half back and higher to cut off and run, Mills to middle to win it, and create space up forward for Logan, Wilbur, Heeney and Paps to run into.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Are you saying Ludwig that our bomb it and hope tactics might be a poor choice? That is surely blasphemyThe main thing for us is to get out of this game and not to incur any new injuries. I think that we should give up on the AFL /umpire anti swans paranoia and think more constructively about what we (the!team ) could be doing to improve…As a 50 year Swans supporter I can honestly say that I have never been a game where the VFL /afl or the umpires have been anti Swans…swings and roundaboutsComment

Yes, our only real chance is if we can run them around. Not only are they bigger and stronger, they also seem to have more explosive pace. So, maybe we have more stamina? The main thing for us is to get out of this game and not to incur any new injuries.
