There is zero doubt that the way umpiring has gone in the past decade has moved significantly away from rewarding good tackling and defensive teams. Add to that the fact players get away with almost anything as a disposal and I can fully comprehend how fans are frustrated.I think that we should give up on the AFL /umpire anti swans paranoia and think more constructively about what we (the!team ) could be doing to improve…As a 50 year Swans supporter I can honestly say that I have never been a game where the VFL /afl or the umpires have been anti Swans…swings and roundabouts
The answer lies somewhere in the middle - we have been utterly crucified in some big games over the years. More than other teams - sure. Significant from a statistical approach compared to others - not sure.

Can someone please tell the players covid rules don't exist anymore and you can stand closer than 1.5 metres to your @@@@ing man.
