There is zero doubt that the way umpiring has gone in the past decade has moved significantly away from rewarding good tackling and defensive teams. Add to that the fact players get away with almost anything as a disposal and I can fully comprehend how fans are frustrated.

The answer lies somewhere in the middle - we have been utterly crucified in some big games over the years. More than other teams - sure. Significant from a statistical approach compared to others - not sure.

Far out Ladhams. Hickey can't come back soon enough.

Radigolea slips over to advantage. They can do no wrong.

Why do we always try to defend from behind on teams that kick it in low and flat. Ridiculous.

Mills into the middle and we win a clearance. Yay

Wow look Mills in the midfield and he gets a possession coaching is so brain dead this game.

Took a hour to get Mills off Hawkins

Stephens decision making is not good enough too often at the moment.

Can someone please tell the players covid rules don't exist anymore and you can stand closer than 1.5 metres to your @@@@ing man.

This is embarrassing footy basics we are failing at.

To be fair, Geelong are playing brilliantly.

Gould was a mile from hawkins then. Is Melican still around?
