How exciting to have the Bud back!
One of the reasons I fell in love with the Swans was the opportunity to see the greatest goal kicker in history ply his craft every other week at the height of his talents.
I feel the same way about being able to see Buddy do his magic on a regular basis - if this is the end (and surely it is), I intend to savour every moment (even if they're less regular) of Buddy brilliance.Comment

I agree about Harry. Ioved Harry's story. Rejected by GWS, coached by Paul Kelly, came from Wagga. He is another Rookie made good. I respect that. But time is up. He gets a game but shouldn't. But then again he wasn't our worst last week.
We have some problems that are not related to our lack of talls. Our midfield have been smashed in two games this season. Each time there have been excuses made but the time for excuses has past. It's fess up or eff off.
The coaching should definitely be in the spotlight. There are some definite coaching problems. Midfield rotations, midfield positioning and set ups. Forward entries. Team defensive strategies. All very sis that is why two sides this season have been able to accumulate huge scores against us.
Last week we went in with that small backline and they were on a hiding to nothing. But we were smashed in the mids. Killed on the outside, which is where we should have been able to break even. But we didn't. The personnel we played against Cats? set the alarm bells off for me as soon as the line up was announced. Same players in the midfield that was smashed in the GF. That small backline. A makeshift forward structure.
Then the match started. We were never in it. Smashed in every position on the field and the coaches did not give the players a chance in hell from selection to strategy, which was no different to the GF. But the players did not respond either. They just gave in immediately. There was no fight.
I am not sure these players have the psychological capability to win a premiership. I think they are soft. I think they give up far too easily. NEVER has a Swans team been smashed like this mob since our revival in the 1990's. NEVER has a side capitulated so easily. 2014 aside.
We have been known for being scrappers. Our 2006 & 2012 Premiership teams had less talent than this group but th?y had far more guts

Or possibly a worse loss; 30+ points up against the Cats into the last quarter and bottled it.
It’s sport, they’re one of the youngest groups in the competition. Things happen, good and bad. With a young squad both those aspects are more pronounced. So long as the squad learns from such losses, it’s not all doom and gloom.

If we do not bring some mongrel GWS will win today. We need to scrap. Need that desire. I live a few players on our list because they always give 100%. Fox, Mills, Ollie, Errol, Lloyd and I think when Chad learns how to get rid of the tag he is a really scrapper too.
But too many just lay down. Jussy and Stephens were terrible last week. They gave no outside run at all. Now we know Ladhams aggression can be misdirected but when we need directed aggression he goes missing. C'mon Pete if you can assault a player who is on the ground or attack a player who is prone surely you can stand up throw your weight around against the big guys too? Can't you?
I think there needs to be a rethink. Coaching, players and attitude. Everyone's a star but nobody's a winner

There have been many players who had attitude on the field but we're the nicest guys off the field. We are soft. That is a fact.

Marc Sheather named as sub. He’s a pretty tough and competitive young bloke. Great to see him get a run!

I agree with this quote.
No soft team has ever made a grand final. You need a number of things going for you including team stability, good luck with injuries, and above all leadership from experienced players. The Swans last year virtually went the last half of the season to the preliminary final no injuries, particularly to the experienced players.
The young players dropped their heads last week, and this is the first time I have seen it from this group. Hopefully they will learn from thisComment

I do not agree with this comment at all. Those teams had talent to burn, as history proved.....and FAR MORE experience that the current team. This group will grow.....as long as they don't get too many scars along the way.Comment
