Not a big deal but why not actually reward Warner for his game last week as opposed to giving him a token couple of minutes on the ground

Brian Stanislaus was there I couldn't work out who was the guy in the hat

James Bell is playing in the SANFL today for Glenelg, so it's unlikely that he was there. I think he's doing pretty well, but when I saw him earlier in the season, he looked to have gained a few kilos.

Also something is seriously wrong within Carlton. I think they have a list that could be challenging for the flag but they’re all playing without confidence.

Personally doubt Voss will see out the season.

I missed that one but I'm taking from the highlights that Hickey didn't even get a free for that? Yet Parker's tackle on Walsh, which didn't look as bad, gets penalised by an umpire (probably Stevic!) that was 80m away? WTF?!

Without the burden of rucking the last few weeks he’s seemed nimble and just keeps contesting.
I don't think he will ever be more than a really good 2nd or 3rd forward - but hopefully long term, that is all we need him to be, and there is definitely an opening for that. Has been really good the last couple of weeks. Just keeps plugging away, doing his thing with purpose and manfully taking on a tough task. Can't ask more than that - and he is one of our more reliable kicks for goal (not that saying that in itself at the moment is really saying a whole lot)

Long may they rot in purgatory. Joke of a club - have a good enough list to be serious contenders and they are doing nothing.

Seems some are never quite satisfied with Horse.....even when the players who were brought in and the positional changes made lead directly to a much needed win. Oh well, I'm sure Corey doesn't care too much.....

A good win, probably Carlton let us off the hook but a win is a win ???? great to see the intensity from last year back ( not the 16th ranked team for tackling efficiency we have come use to this year). iF and when Tom and Rampe are back will be interesting to see how we shuffle the deck. Do we need Clark if wicks stays in ?

Hayden McLean will make a nice trifecta with Amarty amd MacDonald I am thinking

Well, McLean was the best key forward on the ground last night. Which of course, is more of a reflection of how badly McKay and Curnow stunk it up. Which reminds me, I really should get around to checking out the Carlton match thread on Big Footy: happy, happy thoughts.

It is enjoyable but I don't associate Voss with their evil past. Good type of guy.

Not concerned about the forum vibe more about the content a d letting people express opinions.

Not for 1 minute pretending for any of us to be a step ahead of the coaches but velow are a list of things, conversations on this forum have spoken about and have now happened.

                        Heeney in the middle
                        McAndrew in
                        Francis Back
                        Talls to release Lizard
                        Campbell up the ground
                        Gulden Wing

For various reasons these things happened at diferent times but they were all spoken about by many people thru conversations on this forum.
Id love to have the ear or listen in on the coaching panel but this place will have to do

SCG crowds are always so last minute I caught the end of the VFL game, 30 minutes before the main event it still looked quite empty but then the late rush and it really filled up.

Another really enjoyable Marn Grook, it's always a good atmosphere. Some of the media reports are focusing on the ugly, scrappy side of the game, I thought it was engrossing and enjoyable at the ground. The Heeney-Cripps matchup was fantastic to watch.

Lots of solid contributions, as others mentioned. I thought it was the first game where the makeshift defence looked more settled and assured. Fox was fantastic, Melican was a good in. Wicks was good, McInerney's energy is back. Blakey's effort was immense, he went to the bench in the last quarter after a long dash down the middle and looked about ready to collapse. McLean did his usual strong marks, straight kicks and then some. Lots of energy from Warner and Gulden. Just a good team effort, with players coming together well to help each other out when required, especially in the forward line.

Obviously the Blues helped with terrible kicking and injuries but still, a well-deserved win and reward for effort.

Good to have the bye for recovery, I think Hickey might have missed if they'd played next week, he got quite a head bump on the ground in that tackle. The ins/outs are going to be very interesting next game, with Wicks and Melican both going well last night.

In a very good mood for the weekend now

Great effort by Heeney. I thought Cripps might be a dominant player but Heeney's physical presence upset his game. Well done.

All for the 'expressing of opinions'....I think we all are. Some just baulk at 'the way' they are expressed and the tone behind those expressions. Not all of us appreciate the 'hard arse, toy throwing' vibe....even though we may somewhat agree with the points being made.
