Absolutely agree with the positives already mentioned. We were the better team for most of that match. Yes it's a pity we could not convert more, especially with the chances so close to the goals.
We did not play like rubbish as some have intimated on here, we just did not finish our good work. No-one wants to kick 18 behinds and no-one is going to be harder on themselves for errant kicking than the players themselves.
I like what Melican did today on Hawkins. Also thought Francis played well too. Braeden just keeps getting better and McInerney is putting together a good stretch of games. The more Amartey and Logan play together, the better.
I think we can take a lot of confidence out of today. We didn't look scarred by our last two significant loses to the Cats.Comment

Amartey needs to play every match he's fit. He's going to have some games where he doesn't win every contest. He's the future - Buddy is not. I'd use Buddy as a sub.Comment

Big kudos to Melican. It reminded me of a game he played against Riewoldt in his last year when he smashed him. He did a massive job tonight.
The other feature of the night was that was the best overlap run I’ve seen since the last quarter against Richmond. We used dare and run to take it on. We got trapped a few times in the last quarter in the middle of the ground, but it’s better than the alternative.
Good games by Sheldrick, Parker, Blakey, McInerney, McDonald and Gulden. If I had a slight criticism of Gulden he made a couple of errant choices in the last quarter. Campbell was very good first half, but drifted a bit.
The morons on Fox are trying to argue Blakey should get a fine for acting in the tackle from Stewart. I have no problem with the tackle. It was strong and proper. But the idea Blakey acted in response is absurd.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment
