Yet again the Longmire defenders will try and defend the indefensible. Also can no-one read a forecast, a tall in wet weather even not taking into account the small forward line.Comment

Can’t say I’m a strategist but to me it looked like they just got better - less turnover, better at the loose ball, cleaner hands, better decision making and probably a few more. Not sure how any of that is our coachs’ fault.Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.Comment

What an utter garbage second half. Not much leadership on show out there at times - brain dead football, alongside brain dead umpiring at times.
Maybe the AFL should consider cards for serious misconduct though. Nankervis will be getting a holiday for that blatant bump yet we had to suffer through almost 3/4s of the game down a key man.
What a microcosm of our frustrating season in a nutshell however."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

We are officially done for the year
Give Buddy his farewell and move on..... He is as predictable as a 1st gamer with ball in hand.
The crucifixion of Fox is hard to watch, destroyed the guy.
Our talk is down, how many guys ran into trouble, they never did, tapped instead of getting possession etc.
Gulden, rowy, parks they all run into troubleComment

I thought their second half was one of the worst half of football they have played all year, barring the Geelong game. Losing contests time after time, thrashed at centre bounces. Hickey is at the end. I would give McAndrew a go in the ruck. They really need some good draft picks.Comment

You can’t blame Horse for players’ mistakes.
Sorry guys- we didn’t deserve to win this game.Comment

What did John do to change then game, oh mills to the backline when we are getting smashed in the middle. How many times is that going to fail before we actually have a new plan, you know one that doesnt involve the same tired and failed tactics.
But no had nothing to do with John as usual.

You’re playing the same song time and again, mate. The boys just weren’t up to it tonight. Just have a look at the shots Richmond missed and the entries in their forward 50. We were simply outplayed in the second half and too many mistakes- look at Ramp’s last kick looking for Buddy and went straight to a Tiger- we were 1 point behind at that stage.

And yes i am that says everything doesnt it. Am waiting for a John tactical masterclass to prove me wrong.Comment

Biggest mistake was playing Francis as the sub.
Biggest worry is McCartin’s form. He was going to be our All Australian defender. He is seemingly rated lower than Melican and Francis now based on the fact he got shifted forward.
Next big worry is Hickey. Put a fork in him, he’s done. I would really love to have a long term, stable ruck. I hope like hell that Ladhams can get it together.Comment

Richmond beat us at the scramble, contested and ground ball in the second half. A few of our better ball users in Rampe, Blakey and Gulden missed a few critical kicks in the second half. And the Hickey fade out hurt.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I watched the first half, couldn't watch the second half....the PLAYERS were making too many mistakes early in the third, so turned over to the cricket. Come back here to read the usual suspects, ie: those who think they are AFL standard coachessinging the same old coach bashing song. It really is tiresome. Nighty night, back to the cricket....which by the way, isn't going too well either. Maybe they should sack McDonald yes? Any self appointed cricket coaches out there?
