English's strengths are his ability to act as an extra midfielder once the ruck contest is over, his tapwork in itself is only average. Of the top 50 hitout winners this season, English is 2nd only to Rowan Marshall in avg disposals (19.2 v 19.9) and 1st in marks (6.4 v the next best Marshall 4.8). As much as I like McAndrew's potential and current growth trajectory, I'm not confident he would have the necessary assets to keep up with English around the ground. Amartey's athleticism would help and while I don't think he'll be directing taps to our midfielders' advantage I think he could at least blunt English at tapwork.

They are 7th and we are 15th. Our second half against Richmond was embarrassing. Yet we are sportsbet favourites to win tonight. Can someone explain that to me? I will be surprised if notch a win against the umpired enriched Bulldogs.

My guess is that they're coming off the dreaded two six day breaks in a row. As we were against Richmond last week.

Home ground advantage a minor factor as well.

More Swans fans have a gambling problem than Bulldogs fans. Nothing to do with the team's respective chances of winning.

All hope for a win has disappeared. I just read Simon Meredith is one of the umps.

Good test against our game plan flexibility tonight

It's a Must Lose game for the lamentable Swans if they are to retain their grip on 15th place. It's a lose-win situation that might bear a win-win result, as the Bulldogs are still fantasizing about another premiership. Well why not? They've come from Siberia before to take the flag. They have a right to dream. Dream on Doggies.

Worn out security blanket Buddy Franklin will be there to show the Dogs where the ball is going to be, so they can cut it off before causing any problems. You would think that would be enough to ensure a Swans' defeat, but the selectors have cooked up with a plan to confuse us all.

We are going into the game without a ruckman against one of the best in the game. Usually this will be enough to pull out a victory, but just to be safe, it's going to be a milestone game for our beloved head coach, and the players won't want to deprive their coach of landing another Dylan Stephens with a high draft pick.

So the game is well poised to be a nail-biter on the road to nowhere.

While most will say our season is done, Horse is a competitor and while we’re a mathematical chance, he’s likely to select based on best side, not blooding for the future
We don't rove to any ruckman.

Meredith, could it get any worse, sheesh

Get ready for a masterclass in ball throwing, Weightman throwing body in front of goals, me throwing up at the sight of that blue guernsey colour!

Might just record it for later limited viewing.

I expect we'll be solidifying pick 4 this evening.

Geez guys some people already want us to bank another loss to hold our draft position. The day we tank is the day I stop following the swans . We most likely will go a left field pick with our first pick if we keep it anyway .
