I believe he will stay, just for how long.

If you wanted to leave you would be quiet about it knowing you have 12months remaining

If you wanted every cent available knowing what your giving up, you go play golf with 2 "ex-swans".

    Snell, Riak and Edwards.

For me these are the 3 guys I will be watching like a hawk in pre season.

i honestly have no doubt they will be pushing for a roll in our backline through out 2025.

That opportunity may come via injury to an existing backline player or just via their performances in ressies demanding a start.

I suspect that these 3 guys have a real future at the Swans.

it is not inconceivable that we may see the likes of Blakey by year 2026 truly having more licence to roam due to one of these very mobile talls moving in as a permanent backline tall.

For me our new head of recruitment just looked like he found plutonium when picked up Riak.

Riak as he comes into his body over the next 12 to 18months is going to be very very exciting to watch.

Riak does not play like a 193cm tall. The guy is a square davinci. Vitruvian Man !!!!

His reach makes him play more like a 196cm tall but super mobile.

blaze away into our half court at your peril as we will be another level with a true x 2 cut off defender that ignites our rebound

Sam Edmund reckons he'd be really surprised if Chad doesn't re-sign with the Swans for at least 2 years till he becomes a FA, considering where both clubs currently are in the premiership race.

I heard rumour during the mid season.break that Chad was seen having dinner with Freo officials. Not surprised Chad is being courted by WA clubs in this way. Hopeful he will re-sign with us.

On the final episode of "Gettable" yesterday, Callum Twomey predicted Chad's signing will drag late into next season as he tries to eek out maximum $$$$ either way.

Reports that Chad Warner met with West Coast officials during his time in Western Australia has been labelled “a bad look” amid conjecture around the Swans superstar’s future.

He held a Player night Mon 25th at Lathlain which is Eagles Headquarters.
Probably the main reason he was seen rubbing shoulders with Footy people in Perth, haven't heard from anyone that went.

With John Longmire stepping away as Sydney coach, and Dean Cox taking the reins from Horse, job 1a is keeping the Swans in the premiership window.

And neither would be remotely ready to hold down a key position post in 2025.

I’m happy with our selections- time will tell of course but let’s face it, it is so subjective and our track record is pretty good with late picks.

We do need a Paddy replacement down back but otherwise I think our squad is nearly complete. We need Chad to extend and hope for continued improvement of our young players to stay in the window, as we can expect our rivals to improve as well.
Still having trouble thinking about the GF and reasons as to why we collapsed the way we did. Can the lads learn from it or will that experience scar them mentally? It worries me because I just can’t understand it at all!!
Yesterday I watched a highlights package of Bowman, and noticed that in a number of times in heavy traffic, his disposal was almost instantaneous. Which I think is a very good sign, as it suggests that he sees what's around him really well and then makes rapid and effective decisions. So hopefully he can continue to do that, when the higher levels bring an increase in pressure.

My only wprry with dean Cox was that he was part of the group that overlooked a pick(s) for our most needed postions that being key defenders. Dont think ria will be ready in 2025 and both francis and hamling (even though he hasnt played a senior game ) have been found wanting. Whielock (matt) and James barratt were available. And they can play fwd.

Agree re Bowman' looking taller than listed. Has that Mark Bayes physique to me and would be chuffed to say the least if he turned out anything like him!

On the surface, it might seem that we could have picked up the best KPF (Armstrong) in the draft and the best ruck (Dodson) at bargain picks. However, we don't know whether they were unwilling to commit. It may also be that we have a lot more confidence in the up-and-coming Jack Buller than we know, or they are of the opinion that Amartey and McDonald are yet to reach their full potential. Maybe the reasoning with the decision not to take Dodson was that there are other players that would be better placed to help the list whilst we are in the Premiership window.

Perhaps we are really happy with all of the second-tier players that are coming through, and the types of player supporters are asking for, such as contested ball winners, are already on the list in Cleary and Sheldrick.

Perhaps there was reasoning behind not taking Cochran in that it sends the message "don't bid up our academy kids beyond their worth because we may not necessarily take them," just prior to us having 3 academy prospects coming through next year.

Bice, Leidler and Paton certainly look like insurance for Lloyd Rampe and Cunningham in the shorter, rather than longer, term.

Dattoli was pretty well accepted across the board so not worth much of a comment here. Suffice to say he is a like-for-like replacement for Konstanty.

The fact is, the only thing we know for certain is that the value of this draft won't be fully known for years and that the club is far better placed to know all the facts than us lowly forum posters.
