I’ve finally seen Wicks this game on the TV. He hasn’t done much it seems…
We are missing Fox in defence as they are so tall, Cox, Wright, Langford, both their rucks.
Stringer hasn’t done much so we have to watch out for him having a hot 5-10 minutes.
Heeney, Papley, Roberts, Gulden, Melican, Amartey all playing well.Comment

Not sure what is happening out there. We are getting smashed in clearances, we have missed many tackles, we choose to punch the ball rather than risk marking and we are giving them too much space. Nothing like last week. Thanks to some brillance from Gulden and others we are in front. Hope we get back to the Swans of last week in the second half.Comment

What a frustrating game of football so far. Only a club with a crap culture would consider this 'edgy' football as something you want to aspire to.
We look lethal when we play calm and collected, but getting suckered way to much into their thug-lite football.
Just need to be calm in the second half and find a way to get the job done."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

If we sort out the clearances (and yes, one of Adams, Parker or Mills would be handy tonight) we’ve got this. Our foot skills are just sublime.
The one worry is if they keep up the clearances and tidy up delivery going inside 50, they’ll do more damage.
As for the Bombers “edge”, if they keep playing like this they’ll have a bloke or two suspended a week. It is a recipe for decimation.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Grundy struggling again is a bit disappointing. Hopefully, he and the rest of the boys have a big 2nd half!

Yes, they are on top in clearances, but I think a fair bit of it has been luck. In that, so many loose balls have just been bouncing straight to Essendon players. If that evens up, our ball movement should cook them. Umpires penalising more of the cheap stuff would be handy, too.If we sort out the clearances (and yes, one of Adams, Parker or Mills would be handy tonight) we’ve got this.
