The real icing would be for Wright to knock himself out, running into the goalpost.

            Well done Jordon. Percentage booster?

How good was it that our boys flexed in the end? Great win.

I know we won, and it's a great win, but how do you let that last goal happen... it should he be rushed through. Might be seen as critical but could cost us a game and not good enough.

Anyhow, great win boys after a slow start!

We need some tall defenders, boys kept going amd credit to the Bombers they gave it to us early.

Essendon were a bit agro tonight. Are they on drugs again?

Our defending tonight generally left a bit to be desired. Just one of those nights - I thought Melican was okay, and I thought Rampe was terrific when we needed someone to stand up, but a bit of an off night down back tonight.

But the growth and maturity of this team could be seen tonight. A very different challenge, but nice to see us stand up and grind out the win, when in recent years we might really have blown that and lost it.

Heeney, Paps, Chad all terrific tonight. Grundy struggled, but the good sign was he keep toiling and was important in the second half - if that is the worst he dishes up (in totality), then he will be a terrific acquisition.

Absolutely, agree with all of this! Great win after being challenged most of the night by a bit of a bogey team.
