No worries .... I'm sure you do this on the smell of an oily rag and lots of sleep deprivation...
    We will hang in.

Thanks! It's all good, just yet to work out what the problem is. Migrating to a new site and server in a few months, the problem will fix itself then if I don't work it out earlier.

Hey guys, sorry about the the intermittent drop outs, it's those database errors back.

It's only temporary. As a guide, the errors typically occur around 12:30am each night, and probably crash RWO three nights in seven, and almost always on a weeknight, not a weekend. I haven't worked out why it never crashes on weekend (or at all), but either way, I'm moving to a new platform - IPboards - at the end of the year, so I'm not going to go too hard in finding a fix.

That said, I usually catch the error most times, so if you find RWO down between 12am-1am, wait 15 minutes; if it's not back, I'm in bed, and will rest between 7am-8:30am.

Sorry about this, but it's the best I can do for now

          I think we're back!

Really sorry folks, the server hit capacity and had to be upgraded. Had no warning, it just went into meltdown.

Will keep working on it but it should be good for some time now.

Thanks for your hard work. I hope that the forced hiatus has settled some of the despondency of the loss a little.

                  Thanks Danzar & Scott.

I think the downtime was probably a healthy break for most of us!

The site's been down so long I've forgotten who I wanted to slag off.

Unfortunately Mrs. L went into meltdown and started shouting crazy things to me like: "There's more to life than footfall." I had to have her committed of course, but with some proper care she should be back to her senses shortly.

I learned a little secret during these past 3 days that I would to share with my mates at RWO: The sun is very bright and hot. Who would have thought?

My own work website went down as well.
Without it we have no food or shelter, so I was quite stressed .
Then my sister rang and said "do you know the stress (of losing a final) could seriously affect your health ."
Im in a funk about the new world of coding we live in. It's mind boggling.
What if the whole internet explodes?
I can fix a bicycle and change light bulbs.
                      Thanks Dan and Scott.
Can we throw a party for you somewhere ?

Conspiracy theory has it that the server was turned off to allow us to greave privately and to get all the ugly venting to pass. Thanks for all the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep our great site running.

And - I really missed you all!

Thank you Dan, and Scott. Always appreciated.

How is the money situation? Do we need a bit more?

I've been waiting to have a good moan and cry... now I've forgotten who I want to moan about and cry over.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
