Apologies for that downtime, I overlooked setting up an auto purge of the database archives so ran out of disk space. That sent the website down. All fixed and properly set up now.

I have diagnosed the issue with "remember me" not working.
As I mentioned earlier, I was logging in with https://www.redandwhiteonline.com. After logging in, the site was redirecting my browser to "redandwhiteonline.com" (no www). The login was not valid for the latter website, so I had to log in each time.
I edited my bookmark to remove the "www" and this fixed the problem for me."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi final👍 1Comment

I've approved that post. Have no idea why random posts are identified as spam. There are a lot of actual spam posts correctly identified as spam (and dealt with) - far more than the occasional valid post that gets caught by the filter. So the filter is definitely of value (to me, having to deal with the actual spam posts).Comment

I've approved your post.
There's no need for you to post an alert in this thread. When I visit the site, the first thing I see is alerts at the top of the page warning me if there are posts waiting to be moderated. I'll see that alert before I scroll down and see any post in this thread.
Of course, it might still mean it takes a while before a post is approved (or deleted if it truly is spam) since I have to visit the site to see alerts. Today I was out and about (at a Magritte exhibition at AGNSW).until late afternoon.Comment

No big deal, but sometimes new responses don't seem to register in the menu. That is, the red chevron to signify a new post doesn't appear, the response count remains the same and in its current manifestation, if I push the icon that should take me to the last post in the list management thread, it goes to page 80 instead of page 82.Comment

Looks like there's a bit of phishing in the Swans News Feed section. God knows what's behind the link, but I'm certainly not going to click on it.Comment

Thanks for alerting us to that. Dan has created a pretty good spam filter that has been reliably stopping these getting through. They arrive at a rate of around a couple a day. Don't know why this one wasn't picked up as it seems to have all the same features of those that have been picked up. We'll have to keep an eye open for any others that sneak through.
There's a button at the bottom of each post called "flag". It's equivalent to the old "report post' button. If you hit that (and use 'spam' as the reason), a red flag arrives at the top of my screen. I'm more likely to see that if I pass by the site in a hurry than a post in this thread. I do try to keep an eye on those flags because we still have a few rare occasions of legitimate posts being caught by the spam filter, and I try to attend to those as soon as I see them.Comment
