You would think so but I think that they will pick Wicks.

So Wicks comes straight back into the side for Heeney... (AFL app), what a @@@@ing joke... I wouldn't blame Parker for asking for a trade, he's not respected by the match committee, clearly.

Ridiculous Tribunal verdict. AFL's trying to cover up the fact that Heeney's getting held illegally by opponents every week.

Damo's going to give the AFL both barrels in Sliding Doors tomorrow. His dislike of the Tribunal is well known.

              Disgrace

              Wicks in
              Parker Not Playing
Adams coming off a sub role

WTF are they doing, I'm convinced we are the only team that has Wicks in a 22

I like to think the club wants to stagger
Mills & Parker's returns due to their long layoffs (Mills 1st preference as Captain).

Who goes out for Parker will be interesting considering side balance. I suspect Wicks, Roberts, Fox or even Adams considering Mills could also fill backline role rotating onto the ball at times.

They could initially pick Parker as the Sub, subbing off Mills to manage his minutes ( i suppose they could've considered that this week).

There is no need to stagger their returns when the guy who shouldn't be playing is lay 1 tackles and getting it 6 times

Parker is suspended, fit as and played a month of VFL only Wicks could dream of.

                  Nothing but disgraceful

Just don’t get how Wicks gets in before Parks- makes no sense whatsoever. Wicks had a few good games a while ago, but the last 3 have been very ordinary and that’s being kind! He simply doesn’t deserve a game at the moment, it’s that simple.

                      A farce of a decision.

The AFL actually argued intention doesn’t matter on high contact, despite acknowledging Heeney didn’t mean to hit him high. On that logic, careless doesn’t exist as a category any more.

There’s no distinction in character between Charlie Cameron and Heeney, but nope to that too.

That’s without getting to precedents like Hogan or Butters or Zerk-Thatcher.

Truly pretzel like stuff as always from the VFL.

                        Mills across half back.

Play Parker mostly in the forward line where he can lay a few tackles and kick a goal or two.

                        Make it happen.

My suspicion with it being Mills coming back, Heeney out and Wicks back in is:
                          - selectors being risk averse (not wanting 2 players coming off a comparatively low fitness base coming in together).
                          - Risk of being a very slow forward line with very low pressure levels (if Wicks stayed out, and Heeney already being out)
                          - Wicks being clearly given a shot across the bow.
                          - This week is an effective straight shoot out this weekend between Campbell and Roberts for a spot (assuming one of them isn't the sub).

Will be interesting to see who the sub ends up being.

I don't subscribe to the same conspiracy theories of some (not on here - other forums etc) that Parker is being deliberately excluded, or some other grand conspiracy. I'm sure he is disappointed, and he may well put his name up to be traded. But equally, I hope it will see him put his head down, bum up and prove why he should be part of the best 23. The best answer to the critics (whoever they may be) within the club that means he hasn't been an automatic in is to show them why he should be in there.

Would not surprise me, if Parker plays well in reserves, and Wicks doesn't have a blinder, for changes to be Parker and Heeney in, Wicks and one of Campbell and Roberts out. Mills to play off the Half Back Line, Heeney to play more in the forward line, and Parker to play in the mid group and roll up forward.

I actually thought Campbell was better last week. There was one obvious defensive lapse on Higgins at a f50 stoppage but at least from the coverage, he was otherwise tighter, cleaner and great to see him spot the opportunity for a goal. The challenge for him gets higher when Harry returns.

Roberts is clearly struggling from not really being on the training track for a bit.
