Parks still played today...which was the crux of your complaint.
As for the trade period, I think his post match interview settles that. He ain't going anywhere.....and the way he played in the quarter and a half he was on today, the club won't be letting him.
All I'm saying, in a nice way, is try being a little more positive towards the club you 'support'.Comment

Parker is gone was me saying he will leave end of year.
That opinion was based on him not playing, him not being selected when available, him having a year to run and being overlooked.
I still think a team will offer him 2 yrs and he will have to weigh up all of the above
Stoked he played, love the bloke.
Highlighted many times how he should be in the team and we should be counting down his 300th, club legend in front of others who were selected and I literally said he would do more in a qtr then others will do in a gameComment

I reckon Parks and Mills are 2 guys we need to come in for finals as finals tend to be really contested games these 2 thrive on it (add Rowbottom & Adam’s to that mix)

It’s probably more so Patch replaces Wick's role and Parks plays his traditional inside role rotating up front
We just seem more dangerous with Warner up front at a higher percentage of his game time. He is a very tough match up.
Heeney
Warner
Parks
Patch
These 4 rolling through the forward line and mids as pretty exciting."be tough, only when it gets tough"

He may well get a better offer elsewhere and leave, but I think (especially off the emotion shown yesterday) that it would be a huge surprise for him to finish his career elsewhere."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

While there might be other players out there that would be greatly offended by playing three weeks in the VFL, I'd be very surprised if any decision Parker makes is strongly influenced by that. Some make it out like he missed months and months of footy, stuck in the ressies like ROK was.

I live him, hope he stays, of course he is emotional and happy etc wtc, it's his 1st game for the year and he wants to be part of this late run into finals.
I. just saying in the cold light of day come trade period, especially with a contracted Adams on the list, he will have things to think about.Comment

A couple of losses and Wicks drop in form opened the door.....which he may have just slammed shut on Wicks.Comment

Wicks is injury cover, not best 22.
Onr of the few in the VFL who can come in and play at the levelComment

The surest way that Parker would be staying is if he gets a premiership medal this year. He would become the sixth dual premiership Swan, with good football still ahead of him. He would find it hard to resist the chance of winning a third premiership."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Fox, Campbell, Roberts, wicks, Adams, Parker for 4 spots barring injuries to the best 19. The two who are going to miss out at present look like Campbell and Wicks. Parker proved like he could be the ideal impact player from the bench with his overall good game and also when the speed of the game may have slowed down in the later half. Fox is also very versatile to do the job from the bench. Not sure wicks or Campbell have that versatility and neither are doing anything extraordinary even though Campbell has been better last couple of weeks.Comment

I've been desperate to see Parker back as I think he adds a toughness we'll need for finals. Longmire's comments on Luke's positivity suggest there was more to his time in the VFL than just selector bloody mindedness. And I really can't see our immediate past captain going anywhere as he and his wife have a very successful business flipping houses in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Losing Jussie will hurt but Mills can slot into that role and it was great to get him a relatively easy game to shake the cobwebs out.Comment
