Essendon 1.8.14
Melbourne 0.8.8
Records before 1925 are different though, because games were lower scoring before then.
One recent game involving the Swans that was low scoring:
Footscray 4.11.35
Sydney 5.5.35 (1991, Western oval)"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Lowest-scoring one I ever saw was on a day of a mass pneumonia breakout at Windy Hill in 1989, when Essendon beat the Bulldogs 3.10 to 3.5.

Hawthorn 14.10.94 - Richmond 2.20.32

What a crap game. Modern football is rather disappointing with its boring possession play and too many players with ordinary skills.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
