And final score was 7.9 to 7.7 (Eagles won) - total game score of 100 points.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Lowest scores in a game were in 1897:
        Essendon 1.8.14
        Melbourne 0.8.8

Records before 1925 are different though, because games were lower scoring before then.

One recent game involving the Swans that was low scoring:
        Footscray 4.11.35
        Sydney 5.5.35 (1991, Western oval)

Lowest-scoring one I ever saw was on a day of a mass pneumonia breakout at Windy Hill in 1989, when Essendon beat the Bulldogs 3.10 to 3.5.

Not the lowest, but one of the most amazing score lines I ever saw was in 1975 -

            Hawthorn 14.10.94 - Richmond 2.20.32

on a perfectly sunny and dry day!!

There was a Brisbane/Bulldogs game in which the scores were something like 34-22. Was in the Lions era - probably around '99.

I now reckon this is the worse game of the year, the umpiring is atrocious, and both teams can't kick

                      1-15 to 2-10

                          Adelaide 5.19.45

What a crap game. Modern football is rather disappointing with its boring possession play and too many players with ordinary skills.
