Ok, I'm not Port fan by any means - but they did play the better footy on the day - I couldn't believe the mistakes that Brisbane were making - but it happens.

I was surprised that Pickett got the NS Medal, I thought Burgoyne or Wanganeen were better - but obviously the judges saw things differently.

As for Williams, well, appreciate he was under a lot of pressure to perform, but I guess his emotions got away and he just let rip.
In time he will learn to control that as I'm sure he will be reminded of it constantly that you should be gracious in winning.

I still think he's a tosser though !!!

As for Tredrea - well the less said about his speech on the tV the better.

Having said that though, they are entitled to a bit of a whinge.

The difference between Brisbane playing Saturday night away and Port playing Friday night at home was pretty huge, and it showed in the legs at the end of the game. Not saying it would have made a major difference, but it would have had some effect.

Agree 100%. Untill AFL gives everybody an even playing field, compliants of that sort will always happend. I wouldn't be suprised if somebody comes up with the theory that AFL wanted deliberately to disadvantage the Lions from wining the fourth flag. Just wait and see.
