Of course Eddie is going to speak out and defend his position, I wouldn't have expected anything less. He has a valuable vehicle and he's using it.

Regardless of which provider brings the game to us, we'll still gripe over the coverage. It could be not seeing the game live on Friday night, or that 7 (the new messiah ) have put the Bledisloe on over us, or decided that The Olympics rate better and wont play live games to Sydney if we come up against it.

We're a long way from the end of this. AFL in NSW and QLD does not rate as well as other sports, we're all aware of it. I think we stop blaming Eddie McGuire for everything that Ch 9 does and realise who his boss is and where he comes from.

Packer is not a fool and wont lose ratings in NSW just to keep us happy. The AFL are also aware of this and had no problem agreeing to the go with the current consortium.
