I cant think of any legal impediments to prevent an Internet broadcast of Ch 9 Melbourne to the rest of the world, as many radio stations do. Unless, of course, it wasnt authorised by Ch 9.

Two questions need to be asked....

      1) Did CH9 authorise it? (Somehow I doubt it)

      2) Does CH9 have the rights to broadcast the shows they bought (including AFL rights) to anywhere other than Australia? (Again, somehow I doubt it)

Q2 obviously wouldn't apply to inhouse shows like TFS but the website was rebroadcasting everything. It would apply to the actual games though.

Maybe it is just technical problems (like the green inverted screens that I was seeing). They have gone back to the "coming soon" page - if it was legal problems you'd think that all mention would have disappeared.
