If it was Byron Pickett, you'd be reaching for the calculator and the calendar.

I thought it was a week. He's also a Brownlow favourite. If he and Hodge get time and the Cous isn't in as much contention as the bookies think he is, then it make for an interesting Brownlow night (the first on record).

Here's hoping the Roo gets 4!

Even my one eyed Crows supporting father thinks that Ricuitto is gone for 2.

I guessed two at the time. But it looked worse when I saw it again. What's his record like? And do they judge finals games as the same as H&A games (ie is missing one final the equivalent of two H&A rounds)?

Dude, that was u-g-l-y. I gasped. Glad I wasn't Selwood!

I rekon there was malicious intent. I hope six but I rekon it'll be three. Sadly. The fact that Selwood is facing months out of action coupled with the fact he won't be able to eat solids for weeks, should hopefully give the tribunal something to think about.

Hopefully the finals don't count for two H&A games, cos that seriously blows, should that be the case.

If it's 3 weeks I reckon that's almost reason enough for them to lose the QF next week. Get him back for the GF and they'd have a much better chance.

It's coming to a stage where everybody is getting off. Let's have the AFL minus the Tribunal. Umpires may aswell not even bother reporting.

One week? He got just one week! Would somebody remind me again why Jolly got suspended?

It looks to me that Herald Sun got it right when predicting only 1 week because of the past good behaviour. Well, you have to be a Brownlow winner in order to get off so easily.

an absolute joke considering other decisions this season, if i was ricciuto i'd be accepting the one week ASAP because i think if he challenges and loses he gets 3.

so its in our best interests that they challenge in case we play them later on in the finals

Obviously they wont challenge. I hope the Saints beat them this weekend.

On the face of it, I don't mind this decision - Roo is not a thug, & I suspect it was just a very poorly executed bump.

However, when you cf it to other decisions this year, it does look strange - but then that's been the case all year. It's funny that the new system which was brought in to take the subjectivity out of suspensions has resulted in just as many inconsistent findings. Well, not funny exactly but you know what I mean.

                            Perfectly understandable:

"The 2003 Brownlow Medallist's rough conduct charge earned him enough points for a three-match ban.

But Ricciuto's previous clean record and an early guilty plea helped soften the burden."
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

I just can NOT believe Jolly gets 2 for his indiscretion and Roo got 1. It really is farcical.

BTW, Selwood is an expected chance to play this Friday night, so perhaps there was no break in the jaw afterall?

Regardless, 1 week is a joke. He must be one of those untouchables the AFL likes to look after

The roo's "clean record" must be a real consolation for Selwood as sucks his tucker through a straw. What happened to sentencing being determined by the offence AND ITS CONSEQUENCES,rather than the status of the perpetrator?
