Brooke Lochland is retiring.
Nice to see she and Alana Woodward chaired off after the win.
Which leaves Kennedy as the only 30 something on the list, so I can't see age being a contributing factor to list cjhanges. But we are certainly going to need more places, with at least two draft picks, plus up to 2 more locals can be listed, and Scotty has plans regarding aquisitions.
For those that missed it, after the West Coast game Scotty said we need a key defender and a key forward and a small forward, and that the Swans are "open for business" when it comes to post season acquisitions.

After the Brisbane loss Scotty said he'd be looking to get more 4-6 pre-season / 30 plus game players in to the club this post season. Oddly, 13 of the team for that game had 30 plus games experience - and with 4 or more preseasons coming up. So I don't quite get that comment.
I'd have thought what we realy needed was more top end talent (and height), and hope that having now secured pick #4 in the draft, it'll be used on someone with the potential of Ham (#1) or Hurley (#5). Who knows when we'll get such a high pick again - not soon I think.
We also have 2 more concession picks for the best locals left - we've only taken Holly Cooper so far - Juneja or Veerhuis?Leave a comment:

Sad about Woodward, one of the inaugural players. Apparently tore her ACL at training and requires surgery. At 34 yo I guess she fhought she had run out of time to go through the long rehabilitation process and then return as a player.
nice tribute here:
Sydney Swans Alana Woodward has called time on her AFLW career, effective immediately.Leave a comment:

Alana Woodward has retired effective immediately.
Which means her last AFLW game was last years Semi against the Crows - where she was notable in the way she didn't drop her head but played with great intensity right to the end.Leave a comment:

Chloe Molloy so classy in her interview, explaining why she kept the truth about her ACL from team mates, and what she wants to offer the team, now she can't be on the field.👍 1Leave a comment:

lol, Brenna is described as a forward on Swans site but you are right, and she’s named as a defender for tomorrow night.
i note her bio describes her as as “praised for her versatility at both ends of the field” so perhaps that’s the excuse for describing her as a forward.
