We made a decision to leave the ground earlyish (when the players were right in front of us on their first lap around) to make sure we got into Punt Road. I had a feeling that there were going to be many that would miss out so we made a point of getting there ASAP. I'm sorry you guys missed out.

      ....No (but yes!).
Punt Road was awesome! I was busting some moves out on the grass, made heaps of new friends, chatted to randoms. I think the T-shirt helped.

We heard there was limited room available in Punt Road so we left after the team passed us in the (apparently first) victory lap...good times, good times. Will cherish it always!

Sorry to hear that you didn't make it in, JF.

No need to go rubbing it in!

I enjoyed the victory lap though - I think I needed more time for it to sink in! I must have still been in a state of shock.

Go for a Raso or M. Davis type player who would have gone high in the next draft..

We got locked out at Punt Road too. But we did see the team go around at the City goals twice. Bloody magic stuff.

When we couldn't get into Punt Road we went to the Rising Sun in South Melbourne and celebrated there to the early hours.

P46 hit the sack about 4am and he and his old man could not be woken when it was time to go back to the morning celebrations. Both were too pissed to raise their heads from the pillow.

They are both back into South territory again today for a few convivials at the Rising Sun to "soak up" a bit more of the vibe.

It really didn't matter how one celebrated. All the South Melbourne pubs were bursting at the seams and rocking.

Negative..... that this feeling of euphoria will not last forever. I feel as though I am in dreamland and floating through life (and all without artificial stimulants.
I magine how high the players must feel if we feel like this.

So we shouldn't pick up someone we think will go first round next year because Hunt turned out to be a dud?

A negative is that it was the last game of the year and it's a six month wait until the next home and away game for season 2006.

But there were plenty of lovely Wiggle lassies out and about, Jeffers!
Perhaps the two hot young things you hung out with stole the show...

One big negative is that Tuesday has her back to the camera for my shot of the RWO dinner on Friday night, Premiership Eve.

Greed must rate up there with arrogance. You were already with the two babes that the rest of Melbourne were lusting after. The Wiggles ones would have been on medication for depression by then anyway.
