We made a decision to leave the ground earlyish (when the players were right in front of us on their first lap around) to make sure we got into Punt Road. I had a feeling that there were going to be many that would miss out so we made a point of getting there ASAP. I'm sorry you guys missed out.

Did I really miss THAT much?
Punt Road was awesome! I was busting some moves out on the grass, made heaps of new friends, chatted to randoms. I think the T-shirt helped.
We heard there was limited room available in Punt Road so we left after the team passed us in the (apparently first) victory lap...good times, good times. Will cherish it always!
Sorry to hear that you didn't make it in, JF.And you can't find nothing at all,

We got locked out at Punt Road too. But we did see the team go around at the City goals twice. Bloody magic stuff.
When we couldn't get into Punt Road we went to the Rising Sun in South Melbourne and celebrated there to the early hours.
P46 hit the sack about 4am and he and his old man could not be woken when it was time to go back to the morning celebrations. Both were too pissed to raise their heads from the pillow.
They are both back into South territory again today for a few convivials at the Rising Sun to "soak up" a bit more of the vibe.
It really didn't matter how one celebrated. All the South Melbourne pubs were bursting at the seams and rocking.Comment

Negative..... that this feeling of euphoria will not last forever. I feel as though I am in dreamland and floating through life (and all without artificial stimulants.
I magine how high the players must feel if we feel like this."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

A negative is that it was the last game of the year and it's a six month wait until the next home and away game for season 2006.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment
