Yeah I think your correct. Jolly's the same age as Cox (and both began their careers on Rookie lists too) and I think both should be leading the ruck.
If we need some insurance for Doyle, Shaw and Erickson to back up Jolly, then a expensive 31year old seems an odd option. Mayhaps we should look at someone like Hudson or Bryan? I don't think a Big$ ruckman should be our first priority, not while their are lots of other holes in our spine that have needed filling for a couple of years at least.

I think playing Barry at FB will cut his career short. We need someone bigger.

Also, MOL is not really a FF - more a FP.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

In my immediate post match euphoria neither did I, but I'm slowly coming down and I agree with 'Bloods (twice in a few days - wow)

Indeed Shauble's inability (not his fault) to replace Dunkley left us bare down there, Leo has done brilliantly but fullback will shorten his career and blunten his impact (ala Dennis Carrol at CHB). Our fullforward void used to be a CHF shortage but Barry moved up the ground, the problems still there we just moved it.

The other issue is greater speed in the midfield, does anyone think that McVeigh, Willoughby, Moore are a solution to this?

Will O'keefe go home or will he not? That is the question...

If he was to move back to Victoria the only club I could see him wanting to go to would be Geelong.

Everyone seems to forget a key ingredient in Ryan's makeup - he is a surfer. Unless he wanted to move to Perth and go surfing with Fletcher he isn't going to move away from Sydney's beaches.

If he was to move to Geelong, I'd be happy with one of Kelly, Bartel or Ling...

I expect Willoughby to develop into a superstar over the next few years he has terrific skills good pace and has a great leap for a player of his size, Malceski is fairly quick as well so I am not as concerned about our midfield now as I was previously.
                      cheers Ian

There really isn't much option to Barry playing at FB, unless Grundy comes up next year. Doubtful that he'll be ready for the job though. Leo's 28 - he has three or four years left.

Not sure how you could argue that Mick's just a forward pocket. He's a lead-and-mark FF who just happens to have good ground skills these days.

                          Heath, Charlie?

He is one of my lovechilds but it surprises me that he will manage to avoid the axe this year, with the mandatory three already gone and possibly a fourth in Maxfield.

Dempster is an option. At 192cm he is the right height but with 85kg on his bones he would struggle with a powerful forward. In essence he gives away exactly what Leo does. That is an extreme underestimation of Leo's strength.

                          Saddington anyone?

In that regard he's dimilar to Barry HAll, neither is all that impressive overhead in a pack (although very few are these days).

He was only our forward outlet all game !
