He was only our forward outlet all game !
Did watch it. He was excellent. Which makes one above average performance from our last 5 finals games.

Not denying the kid has talent - that's why he'd make an ideal trade.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but it staggers me you can rate his finals performances as average. His worst game was the GF and that was average

He does an amazing amount of unheralded running to provide an outlet, plays on half back flank as much as forward. His defeneder can never go with him (for motor or overhead mark) and provides much needed relief coming out of the back line.

He, along with Hall, are integral to the way we play our football.

I thought ROK's first half of the GF in particular was very good.

I'll be honest Mark, I've been thru this all b4 elsewhere & don't have the stomach to go over it again.

I thought his GF game was ok actually for some of the hard work he did back. His other 2 finals were very ordinary indeed.

If he's a key forward, he kicked 4 goals for the finals and 15.21 (plus countless OOBOTF) from rounds 12 to 22. If he's merely an "outlet", then I suspect he'll be more value to some other team than he is to the Swans.

I certainly don't see him as "integral" to our game plan as Kirk, Bolton, Kennelly, Barry & about a dozen other players.

            We hope...

Not sure how you could argue that Mick's just a forward pocket. He's a lead-and-mark FF who just happens to have good ground skills these days.
Doesn't do as well as the key forward with a physical player on him.

Indeed, Eade said that he's not a key forward. We get much better value from him in the FP.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I agree. He's a very good player and very handy at half forward, but he's not essential.

I find it pretty hard to rationally consider whose needed whose not questions at the moment (still enjoying the premiership high), it must be extremely difficult for Roos etal.

The retirements of Maxfield, Ball, Nicks, James, Schauble has freed up a lot of space on our list.
Unfortunately this years draft has been acclaimed thinner than usual and, our win and the Coll/Carl/Haw priority picks means our picks are very late (and fairly unattractive as trade bait).
So I suppose if we want players we'll have to trade them, but who?
ROK isn't a key forward but he is a marking forward option (which isn't that common on our list) So perhaps no.
Maybe 1 of our brigade of inside midfielders? B1?
Fosdike, did do enough to become an integral part of the team or just lift his value on the market?
