But Destructive, Barry Hall and Plugger weren't 32 years old when we took them on. If we were to get any value from Everitt, it would only be for a year or two. But I still don't think he's of the right mindset for the Bloods. He can be a real twit.

We only need a year or two. He is the only realistic genuine rucking option come trade week and If we don't get someone we will be pretty much stuffed if either Jolly or Doyle get injured next season.

I think that is the kind of trade they are after.

Fair point, Baysesleft (nice name, by the way). He'd be OK as a stop-gap. Just hope he can watch his mouth!

I agree with Baysey and also what is Spida going to have to say up in Sydney?

Seriously, it's such a boring existence for an AFL player up here and the standards are set for this group too. Very much team approach, not an individual one.

I want the big Spida for a few years but I have my doubts he'd leave his girls in Melbourne. It could work but it would be tough on the old ticker.

He got done for racial villification a few years ago, which is something thankfully NO Swan has ever been booked for. I just reckon that's a dog's act. THAT'S why I'm worried about his mouth. But hopefully he learned his lesson.

                Sure, as long as:
                1. We do not give up one of our young regular-team players (e.g. Bucky, Dempster). You've gotta give depth in one region to get depth in another, so if we give up a fringe player in an area where we're fairly well-covered (e.g. smallish midfielders), so be it.
                2. The Swans hierarchy have a good chat on a range of topics with the big fella, and convince themselves he's not a ********head (can I say that word?; I'm just quoting the powers that be).
                3. We keep developing/drafting young ruckmen on the (pretty fair) assumption that Spider has only 2 years left in him. This means that hard decisions need to be made fairly shortly about Ericksen. Either the club will back him to make it, in which case he's got to be ready to be selected on his own merits (regardless of whether anyone else has injuries) by 2007, or it won't, in which case he needs to be delisted, and another likely young ruckman given a go.

Why not. His experience could help develop our your ruckman. Has the ability to drift forward and kiick goals and makes an imposing target. We should not trade players who played in the grand final or "regular players" during the season.I would not mind trading Saddinton, Spriggs, McVeigh or Doyle. we need to replace Bally, who was an integral part of the team all year and especially during the finals. I think Spider has some footy in left in him.

IMHO we should not touch any regular Footy Show pannelist with a barge pole.

He was also a strong enough character to self-impose a suspension, fine and enrolment in an anti-racism course.

Spida has never been an angel, but that doesn't mean he isn't a leader or even a personality contrary to the Swans ethos.

We're certainly coming up with some cogent arguments against...
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

If he played for us he would be no chance to be on boofhead Maguire's pissy show as it is a Sydney free zone.

Looks like the Bigfooty family think we are going to get Beau McDonald from the Lions. What do people think of this?

i suppose he wouldnt be that expensive and we'd be stupid not to look at it - but he looks like another doyle (injury prone)
