I find the money offer hard to believe considering the amount of money being freed up this year with all the retirements.

However, if ROK wants to leave, 2 first round picks would be outstanding.
It would be a total slap in the face if ROK were to leave for the Essenscum. I doubt that they would offer 2 first round picks for him too.

He's from Strathmore metres from Windy Hill. Given his brother dies there would be an understandable pull to be closer to family.

Kepler Bradley would be the only player they have of any interest to us.

      I think he'll stay.

Interesting how highly rated - outsiders from Sydeny seem to rate him more highly than we do
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I dont know why everyone doesn't rate him that highly, he is one of our most fiece and loyal players....I think he is our top five and a top replacement for maxfield.....

In what way a replacement for Maxfield - unless you are putting him forward as captain.

His physical attributes, strengths and weaknesses and the role he plays bear almost no relation to Maxfield's, while their careers have overlapped by 4 or so seasons (in terms of senior AFL footy).

Can't see what characteristics of "replacement" apply here.

When Oppo supporters describe one of the slowest players int he AFL as 'fast' you know they over-rate him.

Not suggesting he isn't a good player - but he has been elevated - and is one of our few replaceable players.

            Would love to keep him

Perhaps what Woo means is that Maxfield played primarily on the wing - with ROK on the Half Forward and possibly the wing in the near future - due to his stamina and running strength.

Reported in SMH that O'Keefe is very close to signing on again with Sydney. Roos doesn't want to let go of any premiership players.

Very crafty and thinking well ahead like he did with the acquisition of Chambers - six months ago he and George Stone started workin on him.

Good thinking and organisation on Roos part.
                Love those Swans

I am confident he will stay.

Kepler Bradley -- now there's a talented young ruckman. I would have picked him over Chambers, but that's just me. He seems to be a favourite of Sheedy's, so he's obviously got some talent. I thought Kepler still had a few years left on his contract, tho?

exactly...also just his ability in gerneral to be anywhere on the field as required and put in 100%....his strength is amazing...need to we refer back to that st kilda match as a reminder!

And 3 years ago Kepler Bradley was a mental Swans supporter!

He can lay claim to being the best overhead mark in the team, too. I can't think of better. I see the ball heading his way in a contest and relax (well, a bit anyway).

Problem is Sheedy and Essendon live in the old days of trying to rip other clubs off rather than looking for a possible win-win outcome from a trade. For us to get Bradley we would have to pay handsomely and then some more. Their players are always overrated.

May also be a perception in the market as to Why should we help the Swans win another premiership? Thus Hawthorn refusing to talk about trading Everitt. It's a silly attitude and can cost their club in the long run but many still play by this idea.

Why get the Riewoldt look-alike, when we could just target the real thing?

In a dreamworld, I'd take Bradley and Welsh from the Bombers. But I think the mere fact they are Essendon players gives them significant standing in terms of trade value.
