Why all the focus on ROK? Has Hawthorn mentioned him specifically, or is it just an assumption on Liz's part?

I would be trading Bucky or even Ablett first. We have Moore, McVeigh, Willoughby and Schmidt coming through.

What about swapping Doyle and Saddo for him?

BigFooty has a thread on sheedy wanting doyle. So why not trade him off now.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

What about Jude? We have midfielders to burn... Jude had a good year but he's certainly not untouchable. Hawks may not be interested but I'd rather see him go than ROK.

Or how about the bread man? How is this for a strategy? Pick up kids that missed out firts time 'round now playing in the country, give them a few games in the middle of the season when they match up well and are bound to stand out, then trade them off for a handy profit before next year. Maybe Roos and the boys have been playing the Dream team?

I will be very very upset if o'keefe goes. Think of all those strong marks andinside 50s he gets us.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Don't trade Bucky! What would be the point of trading for a ruckman if in doing so we give up one of our best rovers?

NOG maybe, but I'd hate to see him go.

No need to pay over the odds on this one.

The only other team on the look out for a ruckman is St Kilda and Spida is not going to return to the Saints anytime soon.

We sit tight, and offer our first pick (19) plus Saddington or our first pick (19) plus the pick we get for Saddington from the Bullies (27). Hawthorn are going down the path of youth and a first rounder plus a youngish tall defender with a bit of expeirence should be enough to sway them.

Means we are out of the Ted Richards market unless we are happy to raid the premiership 22, but I would assume Roos and the footy department would be happy to go into next year with the same back 6 and hope one of our rookie talls can come on quick enough to provide some more height.

A year out of Spida next year like he had this year (plus the favourable draw) and we should be seeing some deep finals actions again.

Cant trade the bread without the ham. Vogels is a rookie-listed and needs to be moved to the main list first before he could be traded.

                  O'Keefe + Pick 19 > Pick 6 + Pick 22 which was the value of Everitt 3 years ago.

While the guys who delivered the cup are great, about 4 months ago people here were happy to trade at least half of them.

If we want spida we will have to pay, id miss the player/s who go but oh well. Id think the obvious two saddington and powell would be fine, schnieder, bevan, doyle, mcveigh, maybe jude or matthews.

One of them and a youngster like schmidt or something might be a deal?

Okeefe id prefer to keep, unless theres a three way deal, as the hawks have no youngsters i heaps want, unless it was say franklin.

Trades are a reality we are bound to lose most of the 21 premiership players before they finish their careers!

Both good points. I thought Vogels got elevated but I guess I was wrong.

Not necessarily, we could try powell and pick 3. Doubt sheedy would accept it but if Richards wants to leave it's worth a shot.

He certainly was elevated but I am pretty sure that only lasts for the duration of the season he is elevated in.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I really dont wnat to see okeefe go under any circumstances....he is very underated and possibly one of our best players....the guy gives 110% every game and even considering him for spida is ridiculous......

I love spida as much as the next person but lets get someone a little younger with a more long term outlook....not just the next year or 2....
