If they lose Hay - Saddo would be a good fit down there at 25/ 26. After 12 months he is likely to get over his knee - and he is probably our only player that thrived more under Rocket than Roos.

    Sudenly an interesting 3 days...........

Guessing we will have no idea until friday

How far away are Ericksen and Shaw?
With Doyle back, Goodes to do some rucking around the ground, Baz to fill in occasionally around the goal square and a youngster learning the trade, do we have enough to get by?
A lot depends on the fitness of Doyle, you would think. Personally, I do not think Goodes will be thrown into the ruck unless things get desperate. And from what I understand, Shaw and Eriksen aren't yet at the level where they could support Jolly week in week out.

If Doyle can stay fit for the whole season, I think we can get by. Obviously that's a massive if.

If Spida does come to the Swans, i doubt Doyle would be on our list next year. I think Roos and Co would try and offload him to say Essendon for Ted Richards filling both our needs of a KPP Defender and experienced ruckman.

But if O'Keefe is on the tables we can just forget about it.

What can a 31 yo Ruckman be worth. Saddington would more than suffice.

Would be a shame to lose Powell as well.

Gee this is an interesting turn of events

Agree in principle Reggi, cant imagine club would consider losing ROK, just RWO talk.

Would love Spida tho, talent in the extreme and by far best tap ruckman around. Somehow Doyle has been left out of scenario, would not like to see it as he is massive prospect, but suspect Doyle + Saddo+ 2nd rounder may secure it.

I hope so. I wouldnt even give up our first pick for Everitt.

If we do look what will happen:
            2004: First pick for Jolly.
            2005: First pick for Everitt.
2006/7: First pick for another ruckman to replace Everitt.

Thats no first round picks in 3 years straight. We'd be stuffed by 2009.

Saddington for Everitt. Perhaps throw in a 3rd round pick as well.

This is getting seriously exciting. If I could be bothered trawling through the RWO archives I'd finds posts I made last year hoping that Spider would come to Sydney. I think he is all we need to give ourselves as much chance of another premiership in 2006 as we had this year, so long as our good run with injuries continues (all praise our fitness and medical teams). I hope we dont trade ROK for him though and I'm not sure why we seem to be so focussed on that here. Surely Saddo + Powell + pick 19 would do? Maybe Ablett instead of Powell?

I will be distraught if any of the GF 22 (apart from retiree Ball!) are not on our list next year.
I couldn't give a flying toss how many of our 'premiership 22' we trade if it delivered us another flag.

Hard to do, that is why the judges look on it so favourably !
