Lets not forget that we have picked up worse before, S Tingay, n Daffy ring a bell - Woey would be light years ahead of those guys and could offer some much needed experience and depth to the midfield. But would definetely struggle to make top 22 at the start of the year IMHO. But worth a shot I say

I could not agree more, I dont have a good feeling on this one.
he'll get injured early or something ridiculous will happen so he can't play etc... tripping over grass etc

Seems Richards is still keen on Sydney.

Essendon defender Ted Richards wants to take his career to Sydney but the Dons are exploring deals elsewhere, including a swap with Carlton for Scott Camporeale. The Western Bulldogs are also keen on Richards but are not prepared to give up anything more than pick 27 for the 22-year-old.

Disagree and disagree. Becoming more convinced that he'll make it. And it will be a tremendous result.

You're hardly burned if a bloke with a good injury record does a knee early - that's just bad luck. On the face of it, he'd be a superb recruit.

And Hawks only have themselves to blame for offering him a 1 yr contract - if he had 3 yrs to go, I'm sure there would be no discussion.

Seems unusual to announce the trade at this point if it were to be part of a larger deal. I dont think Spider is going to be a swan

if this is the case, still leaves the swans 1 top grade ruckman short - doyle is a long way from starting. bad news 4 goodes who may need 2 return 2 contesting bounces

Any chance they can trade Doyle now that we've gotten a new ruckman j/k- maybe do it with a packaged trade of Powell and Saddo - because those two still haven't been traded yet - I can see them being traded most likely tomorrow or on that last day.

ETA: Maybe the Richards trade will still happen even though 3 clubs are after him now.

I don't mean burned by Spida. I think he's a good ruckman and injuries can happen to any player. I mean by Hawthorn screwing us in the trade.
