For every Amon there is about 3 duds. Obviously the club thinks there will be something left to draft in the 50s.

            Podsiadly.

The Dogs will take him at 56. I suspect we'll be trying to get in ahead of them. Unless they take him at 43, which is possible.

I guess that the club might think that some of the local players are worth just as much as what we would get with a low second round pick - and we will still get them with picks in the 50s because other clubs seem to ignore Rams players.

We could pick up guys like Jack & Bennett with picks 52 & 55 and then add a few more guys to the rookie list.

Lets face it, last year we probably did as well out of the rookie draft as other clubs did out of the main one.

In part, that's because they almost never see them ~ which may have an upside ~ although it was a stupid place to save money.

So we will shortly be reading that "In a radical departure Sydney Coach Paul Roos has traded his first and second round draft choices in exchange for 6 fourth round choices."

Yes, but it's all about probabilities. Citing examples of good and bad outcomes doesn't prove much. The probability of getting a better player decreases the further down the draft pick.

Still, Roos has a habit of turning ******** into shinola...
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Happy to get rid of him. Dud who was never going to play in our current side unless we had a lot of injuries.

Saddo has something to offer footy. (Not at the swans - he missed the boat when he got injured and won't break into our backline now)

Pleased that he has a new home. He can play good footy and will do so in this side. (Calton need 3 years to develop and will take 5) Hope his knee holds out for him.

Pleased that we got something for a first round draft. He could have ended in the draft for naught. He wanted to go and now he is gorne (Think about it , a returning from major knee reconstruction player with big $ in salary and no recent footy player)

                              Good luck and bon voyage!

                              (Prediction)

He will play some good footy down there and he will stick it to us when we play them. Calton play well against us and these types of guys usually do stick it to us!

I've always been a big fan of Saddo, he was a gun for the Swans before he did his knee and I don't care what anyone says.
He is on his way back and will be an outstanding player for Carlton.
Make no mistake, while this is not as big as Greg Williams, it's still big.

Carlton has bent us over and driven us home on this one.
They'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
