Rick Barham must have been intrigued by that too I knew RWOers were just as smart as the coaching/recruiting staff!

These stats also show that in 3 games against the Swans he had 55 hit outs...sounds good to me

I hope that trend doesn't continue.

It won't - he won't be playing against the Swans any time soon

I t could be a ploy by the AFL, for us not to win another Cup. He taps to the opposition.

                The REAL question is

                Paul Chambers = Pick 35
                Jason Saddington = Pick 55

                WHAT THE..........???????

Something is really wrong there, I'm afraid.

It is incomprehensible that Carlton would not have parted with a pick in the 30s for Saddo at the very least. Do we have absolutely no ability to twist any arms whatsoever?

I did mean if he can average that amount of taps when he is playing for us!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think LRT getting more Possesions than Chamber is really concerning.

LRT plays all day on the ground pretty much - Chambers would probably average Jollys stats from last year.

The real concern is our trading - We've usually won out of it, but what we got for Saddington...

I hope Barham has thought this through - Don't want to lose our future.

I'm sure he'll enjoy a fresh start and chance at the swans. Not least as our fans give everyone a chance.

Personally I could've waited to November before the crucifixions began but philosophically I'm not opposed to the general tenor of LA's thread.

Are you really planning to have a different hack each week or does it work on a carry over basis until a better hack comes along?

He is a ruckman not a key midfielder. Main job to win the ball in the middle and around the ground. Lets give him a go before putting the slipper in. He didn't have a lot of game time to get possesssions in. so the figures may be distorted.

                              Hmmmm!

                              Semi-final

Sydney defeats Geelong by 3 points.

The stats show that Geelong had more possessions, more marks, more tackles, better conversion . . . in fact they outplayed Sydney in every respect except points scored and . . . . hitouts!

                              Sydney 66 hitouts . . . Geelong 22 hitouts!

Geelong went into the game with an injured first ruck (8 hitouts) and an undersized back-up (8 hitouts), and it cost them the game. When the game got desperate in the last quarter, Ball and Jolly dominated.

But who was at home watching on TV? Who averaged 13 hitouts a game in 2005?
Who had 14 hitouts against the Swans in the round 15 encounter?
Who had a career best 32 hitouts against Sydney 2 seasons back?

It's no wonder that Thompson wanted to get rid of Chambers. Every time he sees him he'll be reminded of what a stupid mistake he made in leaving Chambers out of the semi-final line-up.
