    You could tell he was not impressed at all, and did extremely well to not blow up, while still making it known he thought the question/comment was ridiculous

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

    If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

      I don't get to too many aftermatches either, living down the road from penga but what about the following ideas:

      1. Grabbing a past player attending the game and interviewing on stage;
      2. Injured players not playing that week;
      3. Reserves players (list and rookies) for interviews;
      4. Stappers, masseur's, etc.
      5. Selling raffle tickets from which the winning supporter(s) can get up on stage to ask a player a series of questions (screened by Luffy first), get an autograph and photo opportunity. Tickets could be $1 each and pick three winners each AM. I doubt you would get a rude question if the person is in arm's length of the player.

      My last aftermatch was the Richmond game and that moron's question to Ball was very rude. Packed like sardines in a beer can that night. Not nice.
      In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

        From what I remember the Richmond game is not a good example of the membership in general.

        The groundstaff had no idea, were letting in a lot of people who were not members, Luffy I wouldn't take that experience as a good example.

        I think your example of bringing people on stage to ask questions should do the trick (make sure they identify themselves, first name would do), I doubt someone standing within a metre of Jason Ball would ask him when is he going to start contributing !!!!!

          did someone deck that person??? were they actually a swans supporter or just a tool wanting to stir up the members???

          that is SO rude, poor bastard, i can imagine when your whole life is footy and you cant play coz of a shocking injury that youd be pretty depressed... let alone someone asking a stupid question like that!

            Also comments were asked about who Jason wanted to play under and how his performance will differ if under the guidance of Wallace. He blew his lid which was totally fair enough as dumb questions were asked when he was giving up HIS time for us when he really didnt have to.

                This week i will denfinately be getting some questions from those at the Aftermatch, i will work out the fairest and best way to do this, if it stuffs up by one person going over the top with a ridiculous question or putting the players in an uncomfortable position it will end and never be returned, i think it is a great idea and will do it every week if it works well

                    Penga, it would be great to see people from the club on here, but it's very difficult with all the various internet related clauses to do with the Telstra agreement, and we can't even get an ad on sydneyswans.com.au for various reasons. However, they DO read so keep posting and it will get seen!

                    Re: the aftermatches,
                    I've introduced one of my friends this year and she keeps wondering why people keep calling out my name and talking to me around the place, and I've had to dig out all my old footy cd's and tapes and play her all the "footy songs" and explain some of the history behind etc - i was wondering if it was possible for some of the traditional footy songs to be played in breaks and stuff, mixed in with the popular stuff, just for a bit of a "memory" trips and just to keep the footy theme rather than the booze theme that seems to be taking over a little bit in some areas?

                      Penga, they read rwo, it's tough for people to post as anything said can be construed to be in an official capacity.

                      As an example, at the B&F last year, I spoke to Willo and told him that he'd won the TLM. When we made the presentation he told us that his wife was reading it. Some of the younger guys read too that I know of. And I'm sure others do.

                          The MA Noble area's good, but that's a big weakness at Stade de Oz is that there doesn't seem to be anywhere suitable there for an aftermatch. (Or if there is, they don't let us use it).
                          And outside the ground Olympic Park is a ghost town. There's the brewery, but it takes yonks to get in there and it's boring as once you're in. Plus the last trains and buses leave less than an hour after the final siren.
