2 wins in the next 2 games (Essendon a good chance, Post-Perth doggies a gimme), should see us attain our highest ladder position for the rest of the year which will be 3rd or 4th.

From then on, the draw gets a little harder, so we just have to hold on and hope we can hold 4th.

The games against Essendon are always either close and tough, or we get thumped. I expect a game like the former this week.

The match against the 'Dogs is certainly no "gimme" and hopefully the players don't think that way, although they have done so in the past. It could potentially be a danger game, as the 'Dogs have had our measure for a number of years and they really aren't that far off.

I can imagine just the embarrassment of us thinking how easy it is and the main newpaper headlines of that week being how the 'Dogs managed to both break their 11-game losing streak and the Subi hoodoo. I really don't want to see that!!

Very negative attitude NMWBloods. The players can think what they like, although they are paid to perform so mentally thats part of it.
As a fan, I look forward to the next few weeks with optimism, and the dogs are a gimme*.

Note *: A gimme is not 100% certain, but if we drop that game, the players should be ashaimed of themselves.

None of the games this year are walkovers. The Doggies fell away in their last game after looking good at half time and I though Geelong had a red hot go against the Crows.

We need all of the boys to put in for every game in order to have a chance of winning.

Nice Cliche work there Rizzo, but the doggies can go two ways at the moment. 1) A big win or two, or 2) fall in a heap.

Unfortunetly for them, they travel to perth this week, so falling in a heap is the most likely outcome.

Do people honestly believe that just because you play in Perth assures that you will lose the following week?

I'm sure it is a bit more tiring, but I think it has more to do with mental attitude now taht the media have got a hold of it.

And some teams aren't worried about things like that.

The Dogs looked very very good for parts of their game on Saturday. It struck me that they don't play unlike the Swans do when on song - ie hard running and quick delivery forward. The Swans probably have a more naturally talented forward line (and more experienced one) - Brown aside - once the ball gets down there but otherwise there are a lot of similarities.

I see it as more of a danger game than this week - where I'm sure the guys will be fired up in front of a big crowd.

The Dogs have been playing well, but been falling short. Now they will get a win in the next few weeks, so lets hope its this week.

Also the last few years Chris Grant has ripped us apart so lucky for us he is out

Who would have thought we would be talking like this half way through the season after all the rebuilding doom and gloom in the preseason.

But I think 4th is out of our league, somewhere from 6th - 8th is more a possibility...but you never know...we may miss out all together - but things are going very well at the moment.

At this stage the swans v dogs is 6th v last, with 6th in form (4 wins from last 5), and last out of form (9 losses), playing at 6th home ground, which is an interstate trip for last.

I mean really, if you cant expect a win there, then you should go and follow St Kilda.

Barry, of course on paper we will win, but games aren't played on paper. I never say going into a match "this is an easy win coming up". I no longer go into matches expecting to win, just hoping for a good effort from the boys which normally means a win.

You haven't been following football very long have you, and particularly the Swans. Seasons are littered with teams who have lost games against teams they have expected to easily win against, and the Swans are one of the worst. Sure I think we should win, but it's not a given.

Have not beaten the filth this Millenium (1997).

Always they find our weak spots.

But if we win it will be a monkey off trhe back.


We have no real other hated team like the S&Don in the AFL.
