      Hey Dpw - don't mis-quote me.

I never said he was a champ (those exact words).

I said that I'd been singing his praises since 1999

Handy player is Kirk. Now recognised by Melbourne radio as the premier tagger in the comp.

Daniel Southern (the DANIEL bit rather than Dan or Danny has always amused me since he is such a rough looking character) awarded the following votes on ABC radio.

          3 The Captain Kirk
          2 Robert Harvey
          1 Paul Williams

              I'll eat humble pie.

At the end of the 99 season, I said I'd seen enough.
Thanks to Roosy he has reinvented himself. Well done Captain

Unfortunately for me he will just about single-handedly stop me from winning the AFL's fantasy football competition this season. Sitting 5th before this week, my team is taking a beating this round due mostly to Kirk restricting my trump player Hayes. And its not the first time he's done it to me this season. Those 4 free tickets to the GF could well go in handy this season!

another frustrated ball winner was OUR () lenny hayes on sat night

kirky puts on great pressure, but if his direct opponent was fozzie i reckon he'd have about 7 frees against...

According to the HS stats, Kirky had NINE tackles as well.... he is, without doubt, the best player at applying midfield pressure in the comp.

he applies his tackles very early, quite often just as the other player simultaneously takes the ball... gives them NO chance of disposing of it...

Did you see his tackle on Riewoldt? Absolutely pummeled him into the ground. Sensational tackle.

Kirk has given 100% all year - may it keep going. Besides tagging he seems to be able to get free and run and get in and under for the possession of the ball.
                          Love those Swans

They should take the video of that particular tackle and show it to the young players on the list as the model tackling technique they should be trying to emulate.

Wrapped him up, pinned both arms, turned him from the side, lifted his legs off the ground to maximise the impact of the hit, and slammed him into the ground.

                            Gave me goose bumps.
Time to march for the Red and White
