I would imagine that would be the Crows' game plan to create as many stoppages as posible knowing that Swans don't have a ruckman to pair with theirs. I wonder how will Roos try to counteract in the 2nd quarter.
I've checked the stats and they are all over the Swans. The Crows stats are better than ours in any category (even in free kicks! ) and hence the lead. If our midfield doesn't lift in the second half I'm afraid this game is over.
IMHO, for the first half, what has been killing us more than anything is those little fumbles that show we're worrying about getting rid of the ball as soon as we can, rather than worrying about getting clean possession and then disposing of it.
The poor handling is costing us that split second of time that makes all the difference.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
Adelaide's midfield are VERY good. I think our defence is doing pretty well, and the forwards are handling the situation ok with what delivery they're able to get. We're being killed at stoppages - essentially we have to keep it moving as much as possible. I thought we matched them alright in the 2nd, but will need some sort of inspirational burst to win it. Someone has to stand up.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out.... Des' Weblog
Good rally in the 3rd. We can still get there. LRT has lifted. Jude is playing brilliantly. Magic is. Hall is in there again. We will win (or I'll be eating my words in a little over half an hour!). Go Go Go.
Right. Now that I think I've stopped shaking enough to actually type something....
Well played bloods. Well played.
