    Heritage round

I think this heritage round idea is great. Will be fantastic to see all the old jumpers running around - including two black and whites if only to make Eddie sleep a little uneasy at night.

Any idea what the Swans jumper will look like? Will they be the same as the ones worn in round 6??

From what I've heard, the jumpers will be similiar to the round 6 jumpers but not the same. I can't wait to watch the game on the TV, wishing that I was there. One of my friends is going up to Sydney on the weekend to visit her dad and she's going to the game for me and taking loads of photos.

The jumpers look great - 14 of them (incl ours, no Adelaide or WC) are on the AFL site. I'm looking forward to seeing all the games on the weekend.

Hopefully if it proves popular this week, they'll bring it in more often. I'd love it to be worn twice a year at least - once in Melbourne and once in Sydney would be enough, but it's a step that bring some old South fans into the fold.

I used to be opposed to it... but seeing it in round 6 completely changed my mind.

No. That's not what I want to happen. I support the *Sydney* Swans. While it would be great for 1-2 games in Melbourne - and a game in Sydney - to wear the South jumper... we ARE Sydney.

I reckon it might be a good design to wear against any side with red/maroon in their guernseys.

ie: St Kilda, Essendon, Bulldogs, Adelaide, Freo, Brisbane

Just to emphasise the white vs the red clash. I'm easy though - it would be nice to see that design a few times a year.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I wonder whether the boys will wear red or white shorts with that guernsey. I reckon red shorts will look a bit weird with so little red in the guernsey.

Only 4 more sleeps til we find out, I guess...

Lizz they said they would be wearing shorts and socks that we wore on Grand Final Day 1933.

Now from what I know we wore Black shorts that day and frankly its not something I want to see this weekend.

If you look at the design Robbie, you will notice that the QBE is in black, maybe a pointer to the shorts and socks being black as well to tie in with the design.

I forgot to ask the PUMA rep I met today about the shorts and socks.

Have to wait and see on Saturday night..............

I think we will be wearing the red and white hooped socks, I reckon they look great.

The red and white hooped socks would be fantastic! I'm not so sure about black pants, but its a heritage weekend and if they're trying to recreate what was worn by the Grand Final team of 1933, then its the best time to do it.

Personally I don't think it looks too bad at all! Would prefer red shorts, but it's alright.
