These four are surely not up to AFL standard right at the moment. Stevens offers virtually nothing, and the same can be said for Mathews. Fosdike looks to be genuinely scared, and is really struggling for mine. Saddington can not make a CHB, he is soft, weak and doesn't offer much to the side.

Nicks is not far off this lot.

I know someone said 'no player bashing please' but i feel it's absolutely neccessary, there are too many quality players out of the side, that could be there ahead of those 4.
James, Sundqvist, Ablett all probably deserve a go. Seymour and Fixter, 1 or 2 more games in the reserves then just get them in.

Saddo was never a KPP. Never. At least they tried. Stick him on the wing and leave him there.

Mathews I can cope b/c he has had some outstanding games this season. But still needs a bit more footy smarts.

Fossie is a reciever and will never be "in and under the packs" type player. Not a ball winner.

Nicks has gone downhill since Rocket has left. Does f all but is there more for his leadership for the young guys. But we dont need him no more as the kids are doing fine.

I dont know if we would get much for Nicks.

Stevens is the type of player who shines in the VFL but cant handle the pace and toughness of AFL footy.

I have another bad boy to add to the list -

Cressa.

Several crucial mistakes, bad kicks and handpasses, and never looked comfortable all night.

Cressa was pathetic. How long was he at the TOTC for?

The four or five blokes listed here are more or less all expendable. The only two that I feel really add anything to the team are Saddo and Mathews - but I think they are replacable with guys coming up, should the right deal come along.

He even said so himself that he felt flat after the night before. So he is excused and one bad game all season shouldnt put him in the bad books.

Though you would think being selected in the TOTC would have inspired him to play his best game yet. But as is the case with Brownlow winners they hardly perform if they are playing the GF the following week.

What has a brownlow got to do with it eh..well its up their with being choosen in the TOTC.

I don't think it's that harsh at all, Dingo()... I mean, the man is a professional footballer. If he couldn't go to the TOTC and then play at his usual standard the next night, he shouldn't have been there.

Before we go slating Cressa, does anyone know whether he actually went to the TOTC dinner, and if so, whether he stayed late.

Sure, he had an ordinary game but he's been pretty good for us this year so surely he's excused one. And if Willo, Maxie and a dozen others hadn't chosen last night to also have off-nights, maybe it wouldn't have mattered.

Gee, I know we're all disappointed, pxxxed off, frustrated, angry etc etc etc about the performance but we might do well to keep a bit of perspective.

We'll find out next week how much ticker this team has, and I'd be amazed if Cressa wasn't right up there, leading the troops.

Well there was this body double who looked liked cressa in a splendid black suit. He looked so similar to cressa.

I saw it on the news so yeah he was there.

With all due respect to Willo (taking away the sitter he dropped) he did come back on with a busted ankle, so for him to finish the match on the field was good to see.

I totally agree with Roos comments though about the team not showing up - they were seriously playing like they had been at the TotC dinner the night before.
