And seriously if we win, would it be worth it if you have to do the bolt back to the plane. I know as a fact that the only Virgin flight back on the Sunday night is at 6:10pm. Don't risk it, as the traffic bottlenecks outside Footy Park because everyone drives.

heheh I've been practicing "The High Road to Gairloch" on my chanter this week and it has a piece in it that sounds like "bound for South Australia". Every time I play that bit I can't stop smiling

There will be no BBQ this week from thepowerfromport.com members, as it is Junior & Ameteur football league finals at the moment......

This Is correct the traffic flow is much better now with the new bus lane in the middle of the road. The traffic is still bad for the 1st 1/2 hour after the game, the only safe way to get to the airport is by leaving at 3/4 time (or 1/2 time if you were playing the cows they always start leaving during the 3rd quarter)......

Nice place is Waikerie (my home town) If you get a car load & plan to stay there book a cabin at the caravan park......

Between 3 or 4 people it is very affordable (around $20 each for the night) the room can sleep 3-5 people & have personal ensuite......

Be sure to ring for a booking on (08) 8541 2651 and inform them of approx arrival time if you will checking in after 8pm of you may fond that your booking has been given to another guest (trust me I used to live there when my mun & dad were the caretakers)........

Hmm, we are already on the Port fans minds.

I hope I can get over my nasty throat infection. I'll be needing to get the chants going with Peter H on Sunday.

That's what I'm doing too. I even had to swap with my supervisor so I could fly home. My flight at 6:35 is with the time difference actually 35 minutes after I'm supposed to start next Monday.

Lucky my supervisor is a SWANS SUPPORTER!

Maybe swans_premiers can organise or suggest pizza/pasta restaurant with good cheap food.
Rundle St east of the mall is actually quite interesting for places to eat, as it around the markets. Glenelg by the sea is also very pleasant. Has the feel of Manly. But with people playing "kick to kick" instead of touch footy on the beach.

Maybe we could all meet up with the Port supporters at that pub and re-enact the brawl they had with the Crows team the day after a Showdown.

South Australians are the easiest peple to tease in the country. You say that Adelaide is "small" or a "country town" and watch them squeal! They bite EVERY TIME!

It's a shame then that all the non-convicts cannot actually go to the shops in SA on a Sunday, as they are ALL CLOSED.

I mean, how backward is that!? I seriously couldn't believe it when I was told I couldn't get something at Woolies because it was shut of a Sunday.

Maybe that's why there are so many South Australians with mullets, because the barber shops are closed.
