Also, poor ticket sales in Adelaide will give the Victorian teams and the MCC ammunition with regards to a final in Melbourne every week of the finals

It has alot to do with the ticket prices, up to $50 a ticket compared to $35 a ticket in Melbourne.

I think you are wrong there - i can't quote the prices but if you can believe the Collingwood Show, tonight they showed the prices at the MCG compared to Adelaide and the MCG was much cheaper

        - ooops typo alert!! I meant the MCG was dearer

              ticket prices

I payed $46.60 compared to Adelaide tickets $36.60

Still pretty poor sales though it might interest you to know that the Royal Show is on at the moment (something we only see once a year in a small town) and it is fathers day on Sunday, being a 2.30 game, it makes it practically impossible to plan family lunches or dinners around football.

The game is also on T.V half an hour after the game commences.

Still pretty poor sales, not me however! Fellow supporters and I bought the whole front row of section R (you have the other half) and most seats behind your allocation in that section.

Apparently it is on the wing. I'd seriously doubt they'd put us there.

But hey, we got in first I guess.

                    A map of AAMI Stadum

Established in 1973, Adelaide Festival Centre is the heart of the arts in South Australia.

They sure are bright sparks in Adelaide. I went to SANFL.cm.au and tried to do a search for "AAMI Stadium". It came up "not known". Gee, if the local League don't know about their own ground out there, what hope in hell do they have of filling it?

We will see how many Sydney fans and Swans fans come (or are you all one now?). The Port fans who go all year will be there, what is the panic?
Our fans have travelled well all year, so hopefully they will support a home game.We should get between 35,000 and 40,000. Dont expect anymore we are a club not a state side.

                        See you at the game

I know this probably overlaps the other post about us meeting up before the game, but several of us are keen of catching up for a feed (pizza seems to have been the go-we got 31 people after the Melbourne match last week!!).

Not knowing Adelaide THAT well, I'm offering you the change to show us a bit of SA hospitality and recommend somewhere cool near the city.

Naturally any PowerfromPort is more than welcome to join us for a night of footy talk. As I said on RWO, several of us are footy-starved Sydneyites craving for true footy banter from those who share a passion for the game as much as we do.

I can be contacted either here, on RWO, or by mobile on 0438 890 490 if anyone has any cool suggestions.

Yes, I consider them to be all one these days.

Sure we have different habits die to our vastly different footballing upbringing, but we are still wearing the same colours, singing the same club song (the same as Port's ), and (finally)chanting "SYDNEY!!! SYDNEY!!! these days!

Yes, there have been incredibly tough times over the years, with relations strained on more than one occasion. But that is very much a thing of the past. And our club celebrates a dual identity in the two most influential cities in Australia.

One thing is for sure PP. We'll definitely have more than the turn-up we had back in late June. (Considering that consisted of 15 people mainly from Melbourne, that won't take much to beat.)
