Seems odd that tickets would go on sale before we know what team we're playing!

Ah well, so be it, if true. Queuing up for tickets is fun!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I'd be pretty surprised too. I thought members from both competing clubs had to be given equal opportunity to buy tickets.

What would they print on the ticket? Does anybody know when we are playing on that weekend? I thought that members could buy tickets from 9am on the Monday before the game for all finals.

The Ticketek website certainly states that tix go on sale from tomorrow - here's the good news:

The Swans will host an AFL Preliminary Final on Saturday September 20 at Telstra Stadium, against the winner of the Brisbane v Adelaide game.

          Swans Members priority booking period
Tuesday Sep 9, 9am to Wednesday Sep 10
Ticketek Agencies and Call Centres only (collections only), unlimited tickets per Swans Members.

          General Public on sale
          Thursday Sep 11

          Here's the bad news:

          Prices:
          Category 1 : Adult $90.00
          Concession $56.00
          Junior $39.00

          Junior $33.00

          Category 3 : Adult $60.00

They probably do Lizz. The AFL have probably carved out an allocation for visting supporters

Quick question since I'm a newbie for PFs

Can we just ring the normal Ticketek number tomorrow for Sydney and get them that way by quoting our membership number?

Does anyone know if we'll have the night or day match yet? I've got my fingers crossed it's the night one or else I can't go

                ETA: time

I think they'll play one on the Friday night and one on the Saturday night, and I'm assuming we'll be on the Saturday night. Collingwood would probably prefer Friday night in any case.

Well Ticketek have already announced the date as Saturday.

I think the other final will be also on Saturday, but in the arvo

Well since the Winner of Essendon/Port play Pies and their match is the Saturday night one they'll need 7 days to recover so both matches should technically be played on the Saturday.

Or else we'd get the Friday night one since Lions/Crows play Friday night.

By the trend at the moment, it will be at night.

Can anyone explain the categories??? What would the seats behind the goal be categorised as? Is all seating reserved? Where is category 3?

                            Any explanation would be great!

Assuming the same categories as the other Telstra Stadium games, the ones behind the goals are category 3, unless you're talking about the new stand right at the back which are category 2.
