    I hope I won't be surrounded by Crows/Lions fans!

When I was down there the ticketing system went offline for about 10 minutes while the event manager updated it. I suspect the first allocation sold out and they are now selling those reserved for visitors.

BTW - 6 tickets, two of them for members.

just got back from picking up my pre ordered tickets. Elizabeth st still has people lined up. When I got there, about 25 in front of me. To their credit I was in and out in 15 mintues.

They still haven't release all tickets yet. Don't know if this is just for the opposition or general ones too. Overheard the person next to me asking.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

They need to make a limit per membership that you can by (say 4 - so if you want 8 tickets, you need to have at least 2 members passes).

        Mike B,
My wife lined up this morning for 3 hours . with the women in front buying 85 tickets.
There needs to some sort of cap on the number that can be bought.

It would not surprise me if members miss out on tickets because other members have been buying up big and that defeats the purpose of a members priority period for purchasing tickets.
The limit should probably be 1 or 2 guests per member. Any more than two per member and it's not really a members group any more.

Tickets for the GF will be strictly members oinly though

                    Get your tickets today people!
The StadeOz members had to book their tickets about four weeks ago. That has all been done and allocated. Whether they can still get more now I don't know.

                    P.S. From the stadeOz website....

If you have not requested tickets but would like to attend, please contact Members' Ticketing. Unfortunately tickets are not guaranteed and will be subject to other Members' cancellations, however we will do our best to accommodate late requests.
So we are not competing with them for seats, but it sounds like they have already sold their entire quota which I think is 30,000. BTW, if StadeOz members book a ticket and then "no show" they go to the back of the queue for the next event. I think they can even lose their membership if they do it too many times.

Yes and no Charlie, she may have been buying them for a large group of people.

A friend of mine emailed everyone at work and organised a day out and bought 30 tickets so they could sit together.

As long as it does not stop one members getting a ticket for the game then I am fine with it.

On the other hand if that lady was buying to scalp then the AFL have an issue as we don't want first timers or non members having to pay above rates to see the game if they want too.

No offence mate, but this is a PRELIMINARY FINAL! This is for FANS, not a "day out".

You should be able to buy 2 tickets with a membership... no more!

I'll admit I fronted up at ticketek this morning and bought 20 tickets. BUT, between all the people going, we have 10 memberships.

I don't really mind if a member gets tickets for a large group, to encourage more people to go (ie: a whole footy club etc). I hope not too many found their way into the hands of scalpers - that would suck muchly.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
