Hall is only 22yo - when Swans players are playing like headless chooks at that age people are willing to give them a chance. He's 196cm and 92kg and pretty agile, so he has a lot of useful potential - he's also a great kick and an excellent mark. He's been stuck playing key position spots, all over the ground, which is a pretty tough gig. He played well in 2002 and late in 2001, but had an interupted 2003 with injuries during and pre-season. Again, we seem to excuse Swans players for this but not others.

      Please no to Hall

He is soft, slow and unaccountable - a taller version of Frosty

We should look at Notting, Jacobs, Bolton and and only cheaply

how can you make any comparison between a 178cm utility and a 196cm key position player?

can you explain how he is a taller version of frosty?

i don't think hall will ever be a superstar but if we can get him without giving away too much he'd certainly be useful in our team. i'd have thought that with a decent coach and professional team environment (e.g. anywhere but Richmond) hall would have some scope for improvement

So what ? I don't want to take a chance on any trade - I want my trades to be sure things (prefrably "stars") If we want to tke chances we are better of drafting more late players and putting the 2-4 years work into them.

P46 you would have observed that we have played Richmond a few times of recent years, and he has been ordinary every time. I also watch a fair bit a Fox Footy replays and am able to make valued judgements and not necessarily irrational judgements like someone I know.

Ever heard of a player called Rohan Warfe?

            I rest my case.

I can't wait to tell my daughter's partner that "you" think he is a dummy.

              Nico,

Rowan Warfe could play on his day, no doubt about that.

I seem to remember you saying that Jason Mooney and Andrew Dunkley couldn't play at one stage. Need I go on? There are many more.

Gee I hope we can get Ray Hall now, just to shove it up you. He's no worldbeater, but in a good side like ours, he would be serviceable.

The Richmond supporters thing was a generalisation, but by all means, deliver that message to 'your daughter's partner'.

This just became academic - Ray Hall to Geelong as a component of the Nathan Brown trade.

The Dogs got pick 6 and PETER STREET for Nathan Brown.

                Ouch.

You haven't got a very good record on picking talent on the form you have displayed above.

Warfe has always been a dud. A trier but an unskilled dud.
Mooney could play but was limited by serious knee injuries and Dunkley was always a better player than Warfe and was a good player when his best position was found.

I can't say I have noticed Hall play at all but and disinclined to want him based on your form at pickin' them. ;-)

Well, trading "sure things" doesn't happen too often and usually you need to give something up to get them.

What about C.Bolton? You would have prefered that we had gone for a late pick in the draft?

As already said, trading for stars usually means giving one up as well. It is these middle tier guys that are generally of most benefit, since all they may need to excel is a change of environment

Hall to Geelong - You @@@@en beauty - at least we don't get this dud.

Mr sangster - my comparison of frosty to hall is simple
one is a tall player who is slow , soft and unaccountable
the other is a small player who is slow, soft and unnaccountable

P46 your track record on judging football talent is appalling

You sign the praises of Ray Hall and warfe, yet bag out Crouch,
                          Leo Barry and Ben Matthews.

You are leading with your chin every time and you are getting belted

but you have guts - you get up again and come out swinging again - ie get rid of Saddington !

P46 you just keep on digging a bigger hole for yourself when you assert that Jason Mooney could play.

An unsighted plodder with us who managed to biff a couple players with big bumps. Probably one of the most disappointing potentialled players we have ever had. Lived up to that lack of potential at Geelong.

On Dunkley, yes I did say he was not a full backs lemonade when Dunstall kicked 10 on him at AFL Park one day. Fair call on the day I would think.

I reckon it's funny that you wwho pots so many of our players is in favour of getting this out and out dud from wretchmond.

                              Very funny indeed.

                              Thankfully looks Geelong bound

Here we have a Richmond ruckman who averages a sterling 3 hit outs per game - will prove incredibly useful!!

i guess this means its all quiet on the trading front this year - all potential Sydney trades have disappeared.

Does this mean Warfe, Nicks and Seymour are safe? Or do we still have to delist at least one of them to make room on the list for the new draftees?
